The experiment was conducted to study the effect of castration increased weight, body measurementindex and serum biochemical indexes of the young Xinjiang brown cattle in different periods6221-months-old Xinjiang brown cattle were chosen and divided into the experimental group (castrated) andcontrol group (non castrated). Experimental animals in22,23,24,25and26months to determining weightand body measurements index and testing blood samples. The results showed that:1.The whole daily gain was877.79g of the control group, which was significantly increased by13.40%than that of the experimental group (P<0.05). The daily gain of the control group was significantly higherthan the experimental group, which increased by11.64%,12.63%and16.63%in23,24,25months(P<0.05). The control group of daily gain was highly significantly higher than the experimental group in26month,increased by18.46%(P<0.01). The body height, body length, long body straight and chestcircumference of the control group were significantly higher than the experimental group (P<0.05). Thebody length of the control group was highly significantly higher than the experimental group in26month(P<0.01). The chest circumference of the control group was highly significantly higher than theexperimental group in25,26months (P<0.01), but the tajiri long and sciatic wide of the experimentalgroup were significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05), and the tajiri long was highly significantlyhigher than the control group in24,25,26months (P<0.01).2.The serum globulin, alanine aminotransferase and aspertate aminotransferase content of the youngXinjiang brown cattle in control group were significantly higher than the experimental group (P<0.05), andthe serum globulin content was highly significantly higher than the experimental group in26month(P<0.01). The triglyceride, total cholesterol and high-density lipoprotein content in experimental groupwere significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05), and the triglyceride was highly significantlyhigher than the control group in25,26months (P<0.01), the total cholesterol was highly significantlyhigher than the control group in26months (P<0.01). The serum fatty acid content in experimental groupwere significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05). The serum hormone sensitive lipase content incontrol group were significantly higher than the experimental group (P<0.05). The lipoprotein lipasecontent in experimental group were significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05). The serumtestosterone and growth hormone content in control group was highly significantly higher than theexperimental group in23,24,25,26months (P<0.01). The serum estradiol and cortisol content inexperimental group was highly significantly higher than the control group (P<0.01). The serum insulincontent in experimental group was significantly higher than the control group in22,23months (P<0.05),and was highly significantly higher than the control group in24,25,26months (P<0.01). The serum T3andT4content in control group were significantly higher than the experimental group (P<0.05), and the serum in control group was highly significantly higher than the experimental group in23,24,25,26months(P<0.01).The research showed that castration reduced the young Xinjiang brown daily gain, the growth rate, protein metabolism ability, fatty decomposition ability, but improved the ability of fatty deposits.
