Study On Nutritional Value In Three Kinds Of Unconventional Protein Feed For Rabbits

With the rapid development of animal husbandry, protein feed resource scarcity hasbecome a major problem restricting rabbit industry. Improve protein feed resourceutilization is an important way to solve the shortage of protein feed resources. This studywas working on nutritional value of three kinds of unconventional protein feed for rabbits:sesame cake,walnut meal and sunflower mealTest1: The determination of nutrients content and amino acid content in three kindsof unconventional protein feed for rabbits. The conventional analysis of nutrients contentwas carried out after getting the feedstuff samples according to the sampling method. Thegross energy (GE) of the protein feed was measured using oxygen bomb calorimeter;othernutrients content containing dry matter (DM),crude protein (CP),crude fiber (CF),neutraldetergent fiber (NDF),acid detergent fiber (ADF),acid detergent lignin (ADL),crude fat(EE),crude ash (Ash),calcium (Ca),phosphorus (P) and nitrogen free extract (NFE) weredetermined by the feed proximate anlysis and Van Soest fiber analysis. The result show themain nutrient content of three kinds of unconventional protein feed for rabbits, added thetable of feed ingredients for rabbits in China and provided the data base for the rationalfeed formulation. The initial assessment results showed the order of the three kinds ofunconventional protein feed for rabbits according to the content of CP was walnutmeal,sesame cake,sunflower meal;While according to the content of CF,NDFandADF theorder was sunflower meal,walnut meal,sesame cake; it was to be walnutl mea,sesamecake,sunflower meal according to the content of GE.Test2: Nutrients digestibility of the unconventional protein feed for rabbits. This testto choose thirty healthy white growing rabbits with average weight (1.70±0.20) Kg at ageof60days were randomly divided into five groups and six replicates in each group. Abasal diet was formulated to meet requirements of growing rabbits and other diets wereformulated by substituting15%of the basal diet with seven kinds of roughage, respectively.Fecal apparent digestibility of major nutrients in each feedstuff for growing rabbits wasmeasured. Both pre-trial and trial period were7days. The apparent digestibility ofnutrients in the three kinds of unconventional protein feed for rabbits was observed andgiven out.The apparent digestible energy in order from the high to the low was walnutmeal11.53MJ/kg,sesame cake10.88MJ/kg,sunflower meal8.79MJ/kg;the apparentdigestible crude proteins in order was respectively walnut meal33.03%, sesame cake 27.75%, sunflower meal17.96%.In conclusion, results show that different varieties andindividual differences of nutrient digestibility were observed among the feedstuff, apparentdigestibility of CP,EE,Ca and P were higher in the three kinds of unconventional proteinfeed for growing rabbit, while apparent digestibility of CF was lower and ADL was notable to be digested by growing rabbits.To sum up, with the nutritional value based on the content and digestibility of thenutrients in the three kinds of unconventional protein feed for growing rabbit in order wasto be walnut meal,sesame cake,sunflower meal. The three kinds of unconventional proteinfeed can partly replace soybean meal for growing rabbit.
