According to the data about the sample plot survey of The wild Taxus chinensis community and using the Jaccard similarity index as the classification standard, The wild Taxus chinensis community were divided into four types. On this basis, this paper studied the characteristics of species diversity, life history characteristics of dominant population (age structure, static life table analysis, population survival curve analysis), analysis of spatial distribution pattern and the analysis of ecological (niche breadth, similarity and overlap analysis) about different community types. The results show that:1.The wild Taxus chinensis community were divided into four types:Taxus chinensis—Carpinus turczaninowii、Taxus chinensis—Quercus variabilis、Taxus chinensis—Goldenrain tree and the mixed forest.The Statistics show:there are 69 families 123 genera and 207 species of plants in wild Taxus chinensis community in the Taihang Mountains, Among them,22 families,26 genera and 43 species of trees,17 families 27 genera 55 species of shrubs,41 families and 75 genera and 109 species of herbs.Plant diversity, complexity significantly.The species diversity of Wild Taxus chinensis community most changes at different levels:herb layer> shrub layer> tree layer.2.Advantage Populations in different communities mostly showed a certain degree of older or younger defect.Taxus chinensis population old population are more, lacking of young seed, temporarily stable, but declining trend in Taxus chinensis—Carpinus turczaninowii;in other communities, the age structure of Taxus chinensis population is inverted Pyramid and recession.3.Taxus chinensis,Pteroceltis tatarinowii and EUPTELEA population are cluster distribution in Taxus chinensis-turczaninowii community tree layer;Carpinus, dateplum persimmon, Quercus variabilis population are random distribution.In different developmental stages of T.chinensis,different distribution pattern:young and middle age are the cluster distribution but old is random distribution.4. With the respective Levins and Shannon weiner index,the result of niche breadths of the main populations are almost the same and the highest value of niche breadth in arbor layer is T.chinensis. In the populations with high value of niche breadth, the niche similarity is generally higher accordingly. Niche overlaps extents of main populations in the wild T.chinensis community are correspondingly lower, indicated that the environmental resource could be shared by every population and the community is comparative stable.
