With the development of society, the progress of science and technology, agricultural mechanization level is also rising. Increased mechanization in agriculture, we must also ensure its reliability and quality requirements. Sugarcane harvester is sugarcane mechanization production machinery, and sugarcane cutter’s working performance has a great influence on the cutting quality, is one of the main factors to evaluate the quality of sugarcane harvester.A major disadvantage existing in current cutter is high rate of broken biennial root.But for ratoon crops of sugarcane, which is fatal. The rate of broken biennial high, make the germination rate and the growth of sugarcane yield has been greatly affected, with relatively lower at the coming yeah. However, due to the complexity of the cutting mechanism, it is difficult to directly observe the cutting process.The development of computer simulation make the cutting process can be further researched, more conducive to our understanding of the mechanism of cutting, and can get the data that many experimental methods cannot get.But many factors influence the cutting quality of sugarcane, therefore, it is necessary to study and optimize various factors on the cutting quality, so as to achieve the purpose of improving cutting quality.This paper takes a small sugarcane harvester cutter developed by a company for the study, in order to obtain a degree of influence on the parameters of sugarcane broken,process of cutter cutting sugar cane based on ANSYS/LS-DYNA explicit dynamic numerical simulation. The cutter blade is briefly introduced, the mechanism of broken sugarcane was analyzed.In order to provide material model for the simulation of sugarcane sugarcane, physical and mechanical parameters were determined through the experiment method.In a large number of data and be familiar with the basis of the software, introduced the software generally, and had a summary and illustration from the whole process simulation:modeling, mesh, material definition, loading and solving process Finally completed the reciprocating double finite element model of the knife cutting sugar cane, has realized the double knife cutting sugarcane explicit dynamics simulation of the process, and animation and warrior contours of simulation results.By observing the different sugarcane cutting section with the different cutting parameters we found the single factor conditions, harvester forward speed is 0.4m/s, the blade angle of 42 degrees, the cutting angle of 22 degrees. Cutting table angle is 6 degree, the reciprocating speed on the cutter bar is 1.2m/s the minimum rate of cutting head.
