Microvariation Characteristics Of Armeniaca Vulgaris ‘Kuchebaixing’ In Growth Period And Its Relationship With Environmental Factors

In this study, Armeniaca vulgaris ‘Kuchebaixing’ was taken as the object. Three physiological indexes of stem diameter, fruit diameter, and stem sap flow of A. vulgaris ‘Kuchebaixing’ and its relationship with the environmental factors were tested through 24 h continuously monitoring by Phytalk phytomonitor system. The main research results were as follows:It turned out that diurnal variation of A. vulgaris ‘Kuchebaixing’ stem diameter presented obvious 24 h diurnal variation. No matter it was sunny, cloudy or rainy; its trend was similar to the diurnal variation of stem diameter curve. It began to shrink in the morning, shrank to the minimum at noon and then expanded enlargement, recovered to maximum from night to the next morning. Its response to various environmental factors was different in different months, but in general, the air relative humidity was the dominant factor from May to July. Except for April, when it was mainly affected by soil temperature.Fruit diameter analysis showed that both of the micro variation and diurnal variation of A. vulgaris ‘Kuchebaixing’ fruit diameter presented obvious 24 h diurnal variation, which was similar to its stem diameter trend of micro variation. Environmental factors which affected its fruit diameter were different in different months. However, the relative humidity influenced its fruit diameter in varying degrees from April to July.According to the study of diurnal variation of the stem sap flow, it showed significant alternating day and night cycle, which was similar under different weather conditions. The stem sap flow of A. vulgaris ‘Kuchebaixing’ started earlier, and reached to the peak fast if it was sunny, while it was relatively late if cloudy or rainy. Variation curve of its stem flow rate kept approximate the same in different months. And it remained higher rate at night in order to supply the tree necessary moisture. Environmental factors which influenced its stem sap flow were different in different months, but the relative humidity influenced its stem sap flow in varying degrees from April to July.
