The Empirical Analysis On The Factors Affecting New Pesticide Technology Used By Scaled Rice Farmers

In recent years, an increasing number of pests and diseases outbreak because extreme weather. To ensure the safety of crop growth and grain yield, the amount of pesticides farmers have used gradually increases. With the background, new pesticide technologies have emerged. Compared with traditional pesticide technology, the new has low-toxicity, low-pollution, low-residue and other characteristics. Thus, the new technology is gradually being used by countries to respond to disasters. However, the low conversion rate of new technology in our country has drawed attention from theoretical researches. Personal, family, land, information and policy will be main factors that affect farmers’ adoption behaviors, In addition, behaviors of the giant rice farmers who make a living large-scale cultivation of are typical and standard. Take Jiangxi province as a sample for the research of factors affecting new pesticide behavior.In this paper, large grain families in Jiangxi province are objects of study. By obtaining first-hand information through questionnaires and using SPSS software for data regression analysis,the results are as follows:Firstly, internal factors, the individual’s physical health of farmers, the number of farm labor forces, farmland location technologies for the use of new pesticides have significant impacts. Therefore, by improving the conditions of rural infrastructure and institutional internal changes, it will directly affect the farmers’ new pesticide technology adoption behaviors.Secondly, external factors, the number of pesticide technical guidance times, the overall evaluation of the guidance, whether having field demonstration, whether having home guidance, whether issuing a new self-guided information for pesticides also have significant impacts on behavior. These defects of technology diffusion system, and the number of ways to promote China’s agricultural extension workers will directly affect farmers’ new pesticide behavior. Therefore, the key to improve the external conditions is perfecting agricultural policies and institutions.So, this paper presents an effective guide on farmers adopting new behaviors pesticide:(1) strengthen the quality of farmers from the fundamental solution to avoid new agricultural technology technical risk;(2) accelerate agricultural modernization and improve the current situation of farmers from internal factors;(3) Select the correct type of agricultural technology and improve the external constraints;(4) improve the scientific research system to narrow the gap between our research and production problems.
