Inter-planting rice in high stubble field of wheat, as a low carbon and simple rice cultivation, is characterized by no-tillage, emission reduction, labor-saving and resources recycling. The research data of inter-planting rice in high stubble field of wheat was analyzed. Based on field investigation and analysis of farmer’s behavior, the ecological and economic evaluation of the technology were conducted. The process and influencing factors of diffusion were analyzed. On account of the results, suggestions of popularization were put forward. The main results are as follows:1. Compared with inter-planting rice in high stubble field of wheat and mechanized rice seeding transplantation(MRST), inter-planting rice in high stubble field of wheat had an advantage of water-saving obviously. According to the test results, the total number of irrigation times of inter-planting rice in high stubble field of wheat was less than MRST in the rice reproductive period. The irrigation volume of inter-planting rice in high stubble field of wheat was lower than MRST in each period of the rice reproductive period. There were two kinds of cultivation modes of inter-planting rice in high stubble field of wheat, the water consumption of them was 20.2% lower than MRST’s on average.2. Inter-planting rice in high stubble field of wheat had an advantage of reducing cost obviously. Based on the test results, compared with inter-planting rice in high stubble field of wheat and MRST, inter-planting rice in high stubble field of wheat saved production cost more than 300 yuan per mu.,95.8% reduction in the planting cost and 57.8% reduction in the cost of using water and electricity. And inter-planting rice in high stubble field of wheat saved 30.4% and 30.4% of the fertilizers cost and pesticides cost respectively. The net income per mu of inter-planting rice in high stubble field of wheat was 487.5 yuan higher than MRST.3. Inter-planting rice in high stubble field of wheat was spread through the mass media in the early stage, while was spread through the network of interpersonal relationship in the latter stage. The entire spread took 8-10 years. The time of innovators and early adopters for accepting the technology was longer than the late adopters’. The trial area of the early adopters was smaller than the latter’s. The government’s policy could promote the process of the diffusion.4. There was no significant correlation between technology adopting and adopters’age. The adventurous farmers or those affected by the higher level of education prefer to adopting the technology. Area of rice, labor status and income had no effect on the adopting the technology. The factors multiple occupations and a lack of labor would make farmers prefer to adopting the technology. Whether or not to adopt the technology depended on individual. The characteristics of the technology, easy to obtain, easy to learn, universal and short-term response, promoted technology diffusion more expediently. Omnibus and needed to be taken seriously were negative.to technology diffusion. Policies of ecological and environmental protection were conducive to diffusion. Whether or not to adopt the technology depended on farmers for the pursuit of economic interests. The experts, government, extension workers, departments of environmental protection, and press held positive attitude to ecological effect of this technology, while had different attitude to economic evaluation. Accidental factor had some impetus or hindrance to the technological diffusion.Based on the above results and three circles theory, some suggestions were proposed to technology promotion, including implement the public value of the technology, improving the ability of the extension workers and strengthening the policy support.
