The related researches on carbon cycle and carbon accumulation in forest ecosystem have quite important significances for researching the global carbon cycle and climate change. The researches on carbon storage in forest ecosystem, can provide the theorical basis for the sustainable development of China forestry and scientific management and utilization of forest resources, also can provide important data support for the researches on China carbon storage. This research took the forest resources in Guangxi Jiuwanshan Nature Reserve as the research object, according to the requirements of the current forest management inventory techniques and methods and biomass estimation in forest ecological system, adopting the forest resources management inventory data, forest biomass was estimated by using the method of regression model, and biomass, carbon storage, carbon density and carbon sink value of forest in Jiuwanshan Nature Reserve were analyzed, and the main conclusion as following.(1) Applying regression model to research forest biomass, could get good estimat effect. The main reason for the change of forest biomass was biological and ecological characteristics of the forest itself. The model showed that diameter was the main factor leading to changes, and especially the high-forest was more obvious. According to on the constructed biomass estimation model in the research and the corresponding calculation method of forest biomass, obtained total forest biomass of Jiuwanshan Nature Reserve was 388.6×104t.(2) The individual biomass and average biomass per unit area of different tree species were contrasted. The results showed that, individual biomass and average biomass per unit area of broadleaf trees were higher than the indexes of coniferous trees. Thus, under the premise of suitable trees in full consideration, broad leaved tree species should be developed as much as possible in Jiuwanshan Nature Reserve.(3) because the carbon contents of the organic compounds in different tree species were different, the carbon storages of different tree species were calculated respectively. Based on total froest biomass of Jiuwanshan Nature Reserve, obtained total carbon storage of Jiuwanshan Nature Reserve was 187.5×104 t, and the carbon sink value was 14317.01×104 Yuan. The carbon densities of different tree species were contrasted and analyzed, and the results showed that carbon density of broadleaf trees was higher than the index of coniferous trees, it is simalary with the analysis results of individual biomass and average biomass per unit area.In order to improve forest biomass and carbon storage of Jiuwanshan Nature Reserve, and to better play the carbon sink potential, some suggestions were put forward. The suggestions were to strengthening protection of existing forest, strictly controlling development and utilization of the forest land, sticking to the principle of suitable tree, and developing the tree species with larger average biomass and suitable for the local conditions; appropriately raising the stand canopy density, increasing forest coverage degree, increasing forest carbon storage capacity as far as possible, and increasing forest carbon sink value; scientifically and rationally reconstructing the existing low-quality forest, constructing coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forests, and constructing subtropical evergreen broad leaved forests.
