During 2013-2014 the field experiments were conducted at Guangchun cigar demonstration garden in Danzhou, Hainan Province and used JH-1 for the tested varieties. Tests studied the effects of different potassium application amount, different potassium period impact and application of extracting potassium auxiliary materials on soil nutrient availability, growth and quality of cigar wrapper, results were as follows:1 Effects of different potassium application amount on growth and quality of cigar wrapper. Increasing potassium application amount can promote individual growth of cigar wrapper plants, in favor of stem being thicker and higher and root being bigger and heavier. The treatment of potassium application amount 675kg/hm2 on cigar wrapper plant growth-promoting effect of root and stem was the best in the late stage of plant growth. Under each treatment potassium content of stems showed that transplanting 20d-35 d in an upward trend, transplanting 35d-80 d showed a downward trend; potassium content of roots showed that transplanting 35d-65 d decreased gradually, and elevated slightly after transplanting 80d; potassium amount from 225 kg/hm2-405kg/hm2, potassium content of leaf for transplanting 20d-35 d showed upward trend, transplanting 35d-80 d showed a downward trend. Under treatments of potassium amount of 675kg/hm2 and 945kg/hm2 the potassium content of leaves after topping not showed significantly decreased but showed a increasing trend. Mineral elements of upper leaves with potassium application amount increased showing an upward trend; K, S content of middle and lower leaves with potassium application amount increased showing an upward trend. Middle and lower leaves showed that amount of potassium from 405 kg/hm2 to 675kg/hm2 conducived to the accumulation of trace elements, potassium application amount which exceed 675kg/hm2 was not conducive to the accumulation of trace elements. The ash content of middle leaves are consistent with changes of trace elements. Increasing potassium application amount can significantly improve the physical properties of cigar wrapper, and increase the content of potassium, potassium chlorine ratio,nitrogen alkali ratio and Petroleum ether extract. The total sugar content and tensile strength of cigar wrapper in the amount of potassium 675kg/hm2 was the highest. The effect of cigar wrapper on gray aroma quality, flammability, ash color and sugariness were greater. The smoking quality of cigar wrapper on fertilizer for 405 kg/hm2 and 675kg/hm2 were better.2 Effect of potassium application stage on quality of cigar wrapper Delayed administration of potash is conducive to the accumulation of potassium, iron, manganese, zinc content, and is not conducive to the accumulation of boron,copper, calcium and sulfur content. Delayed administration of potash has little effect on phosphorus and magnesium accumulation. After transplanting 35 d applied potassium ash content was higher. After transplanting 35 d applied potassium is conducive to improve tensile strength of cigar wrapper and increase the content of total sugar and petroleum ether extract. Delayed administration of potash decreased the content of total alkali and total nitrogen of cigar wrapper, and increased the content of chlorine and potassium. And aroma,sweetness, flammability and ash color were greater, momentum smaller, less mixed gas under the treatment of after transplanting 35 d applied potassium.3 Effects of application of extracting potassium accessories on nutrient availability of soil and quality of cigar wrapper. Extracting potassium fertilizer materials can increase the content of available potassium, slowly available K, available phosphorus, nitrate, Mn and Zn contents of soil and promote aboveground and root growth of cigar wrapper. The growth-promoting effect of humic acid fertilizer early on cigar wrapper plant was better.The growth-promotion effect of extracting potassium fertilizer agent at late stage on cigar wrapper plant was better.Treatments of combined application humic acid and extracting potassium agent that disease incidence and disease index of plant were lower than conventional fertilizer.The treatment of combined application extracting potassium agent that disease incidence and disease index of plant were the lowest. Extracting potassium fertilizer materials can improve accumulation of potassium and phosphorus of middle and lower leaves,and is conducive to accumulation of magnesium and sulfur. Consequent of improving the potassium and phosphorus and calcium of middle leaves under the treament of combined application extracting potassium agent was better than combined application humic acid. Combined application humic acid and extracting potassium agent can improve accumulation of trace elements in the upper leaves, Consequent of improving trace elements under the combined application humic acid was better. Extracting potassium fertilizer material can increase the ash content of all leaves. Consequent of improving agent ash content of middle leaves was better than upper leaves and lower leaves. Under treatment of extracting potassium agent the consequent of improving agent ash content of middle leaves was better than the treatment of combined application humic acid. Extracting potassium fertilizer materials can improve the physical properties of cigar wrapper, and can improve the content of sugar, potassium, potassium chlorine ratio, aroma quality and aroma of cigar wrapper. Under the treatment of extracting potassium agent the tensile strength of cigar wrapper are better, chemical composition of cigar wrapper are more coordination, flue gas hybrid gas and less irritating,leaves more flammability.
