The Analysis Of Current Applied Situation Of Landscape Plants And Plant Distribution In Baoding City

Based on previous studies, this paper analyzes the current situation of the landscape plant resources’ basic composition of family and genus, applications frequency, ornamental characteristics, distribution and plant configuration features in the main city of Baoding and draw the conclusion by investigating and analyzing the current situation of gardening plant application. People will get a deeper understanding about the current situation of gardening plant application in Baoding city by reading the paper. It will provide evidence for exploiting the advantages of landscape plants in Baoding fully and promoting the development of production and ecological excellence in Baoding city. The results showed that:①There are 163 genera and 67 families, a total of 291 kinds of landscape plants in Baoding city. Arbor, bush, lianas, herb, aquatic plants, and bamboo, these 6 different kinds of plants are all used. Deciduous plants account for 89.4% in woody plants while only 10.6% of them are evergreen plants. Fatong and sophora japonica became the most frequently applicated plants. The application frequency of plant showed significant differences as its difference between planting year.②The representatives of families that contains more than ten species include Rosaceae, Leguminosae, Oleaceae, Caprifoliaceae, and Gramineae. The five families account for almost one thirds of all the plant in the region. Among these families, Rosaceae and the Herbal Family are most widely used. The families that contains beyond 5 species and less than 10 species are Sedumaceae, Pinaceae, Cupressaceae, Salicaceae, Ulmaceae, Magnoliaceae, Celastraceae, Aceraceae, Liliaceae, and Asteraceae.③On ornamental value, the plants that are planted for their remarkable flowers, fruits and leaf’s color in autumn take the most part. The ornamental value of large-sized arbor lies in its leaf and the shape of the tree. Middle-sized arbor depends on its leaf, fruit and tree form and also include that on its trunk. The leaf, flower, and fruit are often the good-looking points of small-sized arbor, bush and liana and the trunk of some bushes is also pleasing. While the flower is most favorable for the herbaceous plants.④Viewed from the usage of the greenbelt, the difference is obvious. The kind of the plants used in the traffic areas is less, comparing with that in the big parks and universities whose plant types are always the most, and include the most spread kind as well as the alien species and wild-born ones that are rarely used. The distribution of the plants in the living areas varies greatly with the times.The analysis of the plant distribution will provide scientific basis for the rational planning of landscape plants in Baoding city, and provide references for this area to establish reasonable and impeccable system and improve the landscaping. Therefore, it is of theoretical and practical significance for Baoding city to improve the urban ecological environment, establish beautiful, comfortable, sustainable,ecological garden city.
