Cordyceps fungi are famous in China as Traditional Chinese medicinal materials and new resource food. Due to large number of species, it is considered difficult to identified when be used. This paper provides theoretical support for the identification of origin by polyphasic taxonomy,discusses the correlation between genetic variation of Cordyceps militaris(L.) Fr. and geographical origins/host, Explores Zinc tolerance and accumulation characteristics of Isaria cicadae Miq. Support the construction of Herbarium Mycology of Jilin Agriculture University.Some 84 specimens, collected by the author and colleagues, 25 species were identified, described and illustrated, among which 1 new species, 2 new record species in China, 5 Provincial new record species. The new species is Cordyceps ningxiaensis T. Bau & J.Q. Yan.New record species include: Elaphocordyceps intermedia(S. Imai) G.H. Sung,Elaphocordyceps longisegmentis(Ginns) G.H. Sung. Provincial new record species include: Ophiocordyceps cochlidiicola(Kobayasi & Shimizu) G.H. Sung from Guizhou, Cordyceps bassiana Z.Z. Li, C.R. Li, B. Huang & M.Z. Fan from Hannan,Ophiocordyceps filiformis(Moureau) G.H. Sung, Ophiocordyceps gracilis(Grev.)G.H. Sung from Inner Mongolia and Elaphocordyceps paradoxa(Kobayasi) G.H.Sung from Sichuan。Cordyceps canadensis Ellis & Everh were excluded from China and Elaphocordyceps delicatistipitata Ellis & Everh were excluded from Jilin province.ITS and n LSU sequence data from China were used in the phylogenetic studies.Conclusions support the opinions as fallow: Cordyceps ningxiaensis T. Bau & J.Q.Yan, Cordyceps bassiana Z.Z. Li, C.R. Li, B. Huang & M.Z. Fan, Isaria cicadae Miq.belong to Cordyceps, Cordycipitaceae. Cordyceps agriotidis Kawam belong to Ophiocordyceps. The analysis of ITS sequence data supports the view which there is no correlation between the the genetic variation of Cordyceps militaris(L.) Fr. and geographical origins in the global and no correlation between the the genetic variation of Cordyceps militaris(L.) Fr. and host in northeast China.Isaria cicadae Miq. hyphae show a strong tolerance to zinc. But the mycelia biomass slowly reduced with the increasing concentration of zinc. Isaria cicadae Miq.mycelia can grow in Zinc concentration up to 30g/L, The mycelium cells can absorband accumulate zinc up to 49903.2 mg/kg. Isaria cicadae Miq. is a potential Zinc-hyperaccumulate fungi.
