In this experience, targeted with 20 day’s SPF chicks and applying the method of immunology, enzyme cytochemistry and cell culture systematically research on the change of quantity, ratio and proliferation function of T.B lymphocytes within peripheral blood of heat stressed chicken and the change of the amount of Ig A, Ig M, Ig G, IL-6 and IL-10 within peripheral blood of heat stressed chicken, in order to illustrate the change of immunologic function and the level of cytokines of the peripheral blood of heat stressed chicken, for the purpose to provide scientific basis for preventing the damage that heat stress press on poultry raising. The results are as follows:1. After chicken was stressed by high temperature, in iniatial period, the proliferation of his T.B lymphocytes in peroperal blood were both inhibited in a different level, and then the proliferation of T lymphocytes was continually strengthened while the proliferation of B lymphocytes was temporarily increased and then decreased. This indicated that in the preliminary period of heat stress, the immunologic function of chicken was inhibited without any specifity, in the later period, the function of humoral immunity was significantly inhibited than the function of cellular immunity.2. After chicken was stressed by high temperature, the ratio of his T.B lymphocyte(T/B) increased in iniatial period, later temporarily decreased and then increased.3. After chicken was stressed by high temperature, the amount of his Ig A, Ig M decreased at first, later increase and then falled while the amount of his Ig G increased in early period and then continually decreased. This masked that the change of humoral immunity in peripheral blood of heat stressed chicken hold the characteristic of time-phase, in the incipient period of heat stress, the humoral immunity was suppressed, later even though the body show transitional compensated strengthened immunologic function, the continuing high temperature could harm the chicken’s humoral immunity.4. After chicken was stressed by high temperature, the amount of IL-6 in his peripheral blood showed a trend of derease in iniatial, later increase and then fall, which was coincide with the change of his humoral immunity. This manifested that the immunologic function of chicken in primary period of heat stress was restrained, later the body compensatorily increased its immunology to protect itself, but the continually high temperature would suppress its humoral immunity.5. After chicken was stressed by high temperature, the amount of IL-10 in his peripheral blood slightly decrease and then continually increase which showed that the amount of IL-10 was suppressed in the iniatial period, later its amount increased which illustrated that the body of heat stressed chicken experienced a certain degree of inflammatory response.
