Anthurium andraeanum are important plants in Araceae, have high economic and ornamental value. In this study, the botany morphological traita、SRAP molecular markers and cytological markers are ued in Anthurium andreanum germ plasm resources in order to understand the adaptability of Anthurium andraeanum varieties and its genetic diversity, and provide a reference for the large-scale producton and genetic improvement. The main results are summarized as follows:1.37 morphological traits are identified and analyzed in 32 Anthurium andraeanum varieties. Based on morphlogical data cluster analysis,32 Anthurium andraeanum varieties are divided into 5 categories and the location of the materials in the cluster diagram is highly related to plant height and spathe size.2.26 pairs of SRAP primers are used to amplify the tested materials, and amplify out 366 bands, out of which 314 bands are polymorphic bands, the percentage of polymorphic bands was 85.79%. The number of bands ranged from 9 to 23 with an average of 14.1 bands and 12.1 polymorphic bands per primer.3. According to the SRAP amplification results, the genetic similarity coefficient among tested varieties is in a range from 0.55 to 0.94, a dendrogram produced using unweighted pair group method using arithmetic averages (UPGMA), and 33 Anthurium andraeanum varieties are divided into five groups when genetic similarity coefficient is given as 0.786, and varieties have the similar spathe color are basically clustered together.4. Chromosome is primary researched via conventional pressed slice method in 16 Anthurium andraeanum varieties. The results as fllowed:various varieties have various chromosome shapes, and the number of chromosome in 16 Anthurium andraeanum varieties is relatively constant, all are 2n=2x=30. The 16 Anthurium andraeanum varieties are composed by three kinds of chromosomes:metacentric chromosome、submetacentric chromosome and subtelocentric chromosome. The karyotype parameters (Relative length, arm ratio, karyotype formular, the index of karyotype asynnetry et al.) are slightly different. The karyotypes of the most varieties are 3B with some 2A or 2B.5. Some differencec existes between research results of botany morphological markers and SRAP molecular markers. This is mainly because that the morphological markers hige influence of the environment, the external morphology traits easily change with the environment change. However, the SRAP molecular markers indicates the distinguish on the genetic level, and less susceptible to environmental impact.
