Transplanting can advance the reproductive process of crops, extend the growth time of crops, increase crop yields, which plays an important significance in agriculture. Transplanter can reduce labor intensity and improve labor productivity. However, seedling transplanting is still manual work because of immature technologies. It also limit the promotion and application of transplanting in field crops. Taking a wide view of the domestic and foreign related question research, the drop frequency of planting apparatus is the bottleneck to improve the speed of planting, and it is a worldwide problem. Researching the high performance transporting, metering and dropping system to boost the drop frequency has been a hotspot of farming machine.Study on the dry land transplanting technology and transplanting machine development present situation and the existence question in the foundation, design a set of automatic metering system of cotton seedling and transplanting mechanism.Metering system of the work through the rodless cylinder drives the lifting work table to do reciprocating motion, lifting work table of pneumatic finger will cotton seedling from the seedling plate out, the pneumatic finger with rodless cylinder drives the lifting work table returns to the original position, the pneumatic finger opening of cotton seedling in seedling feeding system seedling guide tube seedling, seedling guide tube feeding system will be accurately placed in cotton seedling transplanting machine basket basket, and then through the nacelle transplanter will cotton seedling transplanting in soil.The PLC program is selected as control program. The selection of subject is CP1H-X40DR-A type controller of Omron Corporation in Japan. PLC control could realize to direct control solenoid valve and the special position controller of the grasping seedlings system and the sending seedling system.This design can be applied to transplanting nutrition nursery pot such as cotton, tomatoes, corn and so on.It can improve the speed of planting, reduce labor intensity and improve plant reliability.
