In this study, influences of exogenous hormones, gibberellins, IAA,6-B A, ethephon, and 2,4-D, on the flowering phase and main ornamental characteristics of Papaver nudicaule were investigated. The main results are as follows:1. Almost all concentrations of hormones will temporarily depress flower bud differentiation, and delay the flowering phase of P. nudicaule. The IAA or 2,4-D With high concentration showed more stronger inhibition than the others. In addition, only ethephon accelerated the ripening, and advanced flowering phase.2. 10mg/L 6-B A treatment extended overall flowering phase 13d longer, and florescence 12d longer without significant change flowers amount; 50mg/L 6-B A treatment can significantly raise the amount of flowering, and extended the florescence 8d longer with florescence of only 3d shorter than controls’. These two hormones might be utilized as positive regulator to extend flowering phase in group planting of P. nudicaule.3.200mg/L GA3 can significantly prolonged the single flower florescence, and significantly increased the diameter of corolla and cylinder length; 100mg/L 6-BA can significantly prolonged the florescence of single flower and increased the cylinder length and the diameter of corolla; 100mg/L ethephon treatment in significantly increased the cylinder length and prolonged single flower period. These hormones might be used in florescence regulation of potted or cut plants.
