The experiment was to investigate the effect of different levels Chromium Picolinate supplemwnt on growth performance, metabolism and non-specific immune ability of Misgurnus anguillicaudatus.450 tail health loach of the beginning average weight was (4.35±0.31)g were randomly divided into 6 groups with 3 replicates per group and 25 tail per replicate. Each group was respectively fed diet with 0(A group),300(B group),600(C group),1200(D group),2400(E group),4800μg/kg (F group) chromium picolinate. The trial was conducted for 80d. Fasted 24 hours, Randomly fish from each repeat for 14 tail loach, total 252 tail as measured samples. Tail vein blood and separate hepatopancreas and back muscles prepared for blood plasma and tissue homogenates. Then blood plasma and tissue homogenates samples from each group to observe growth performance, glucose metabolism level, lipid metabolish level and non-specific immunity indicators (include T-AOC, SOD, CAT, GSH-PX, AKP, LZM, al.et). After, Randomly selected 25 loach from each groups, with Aeromonas hydrophila (LD50 around 1.58×10 CFU/mL) to poison attack the loach at a concentration of 0.1 mL/ind by intraperitoneal (i.p.) injection. The experiment was conducted for 14d, Calculation of survival.Main results as follows:(1) In the loach growth indicators, compared with the control group, the survival rate of D-E group was significantly improved (P<0.05), the survival rate of F group has no significant difference with the control group(P>0.05); the weight gain of C-F group was significantly higher(P<0.05); specific growth rate of B-E group is very significant than the control group (P<0.01), F group was significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05).(2) In the glucose metabolish indicators, Glucose of blood plasma of C-F group was significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05); Blood plasma Pyruvic acid content of D, E group was significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05), among other groups has no significant difference with the control group (P>0.05); Hepatopancreas Pyruvic acid content of F group was significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05); Muscle Pyruvic acid content of E, F group was significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05).(3) In the lipid metabolish indicators, in Blood plasma, The total cholesterol content of B-D group was significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05), E-F group have no significant difference with the control group (P>0.05); Muscle total cholesterol content of D-F group was significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05); the blood plasma high-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels of C group was significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05), among other groups has no significant difference with the control group (P>0.05); in Blood plasma, the activity of lipoprotein lipase, hepatic lipase and total lipase of B-D was significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05), the activity of Blood plasma lipoprotein lipase of E group has no significant difference with the control group (P>0.05), the activity of Blood plasma lipoprotein lipase of F group was significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05), the activity of Blood plasma hepatic lipase and total lipase of E-F group was significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05); Lipoprotein lipase activity in hepatopancreas of C-F group was significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05); hepatic lipase and total lipase activity in hepatopancreas of B-F group was significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05), and the D group works best.(4) In non-specific immune parameters of loach, the activity of plasma alkaline phosphatase(AKP) of D-F group was significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05); Lysozyme(LZM) and superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity in blood plasma of B-D group was significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05), LZM activity in blood plasma of E-F group has no significant difference with the control group (P>0.05), SOD activity in blood plasma of E-F group was significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05); Total anti-oxidant capacity(T-AOC) activity in blood plasma of C-F group was significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05); Catalase(CAT) activity in blood plasma of D group was significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05), CAT activity in blood plasma of E-F group was significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05); Glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px) activity in blood plasma of B-F group was significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05); Malondialdehyde(MDA) content in blood plasma of B-E group was significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05), the lowest was D group; After poison attack in loach, The survival rate of D-E group was best, reaching more than 70%, the rest of the add Group reached more than 60%, compared with the control group were rising. In summary, from the above results show that the addition of chromium picolinate in the feed can significantly promote the growth of loach, improve growth performance; can reduce blood glucose levels and promote glycolysis, increase the body’s glucose utilization; reduce total cholesterol levels, increase HDL-C content and LPL, HL lipase activity, thereby promoting lipid metabolism and rational allocation; also can improve the loach body’s related antioxidant enzymes, AKP and LZM’s activity, improve non-specific immune function of loach. In this experiment, for 4.35-7.43g loach, the appropriate dosage of chromium picolinate was 1200μg/kg in loach’s diet formulation.
