Camellia polyodonta How. has high value in view and oil. In the study, we investigated the resources of wild C.polyodonta in Ya’an area and then selected Plus-trees from Daxing Town and Hejiang Town of Yucheng District, Ya’an with concentrating distribution C.polyodonta After selections had been made, the physicochemical and fatty acids of oils, phenotypic character and economical character of 15 Plus-trees were determinated. And the qualities were analyzed by grey correlation method. For our researches, we devoted ourselves to select high quality Plus-trees, suitable for planting in Ya’an, by analysis of composite factor and provided a basis for further studies. The main research results are as follows:1 The resource of C.polyodonta was investigated and analyzed by field investigation and laboratory analysis. The resource of C.polyodonta in Ya’an was investigated. The results showed that there were 34455.0 individuals of C.polyodonta distributed in the survey area of 236.1 hm2. But the production was low because of extensive management.2 Plus-trees screening in accordance with standards, Concentrated in the C.polyodonta 110 plants preselected area, Primaries excellent 41 plant, after which the check plus 15 plants.3 Phenotypic traits between different Plus-trees, Economic traits have both similarities and some differences, flowers Colors are all red, Fruits are brown. Tree height is from 2.3 to 5.5 m, from 13.00 to 32.4 cm DBH, The highest yield of 25.76 kg per plant. The lowest was 11.07 kg, Oil rate of about 30%. Correlation analysis showed, North-South crown and crown area, The number of flower buds and seeds.Fresh seed rate and dry seed rate, Dry kernel rate, Yield and crown, There was a significant positive correlation between.4 The fatty acid of 15 C.polyodonta trees which were selected in Ya’an, Si Chuan was analyzed by GC-MS. And three yield indexes, the yield of fruit per crown width, the natality of the seed and the oil rate of dry seed, were analyzed with the relevant analysis. The results indicate that:the yield of C.polyodonta fruit of Ya’an ranges from 1.3 to 3kg/m2 per crown width. The kernel rate of seed ranges from 65.83% to 78.18%. The oil rate of dry seed ranges from 27.94% to 32.46%. The content of oleic ranges from 70.45% to 83.13%. The content of linoleic acid ranges from 5.3%to 13.37%. The content of palmitic acid ranges from 7.33% to 15.82%. The content of stearic acid ranges from 1.64% to 4.18%, and the average content of linoleic acid is about 8.73%, which was accorded with the provision of the healthcare nutritional oil which was set by the WHO. As the relevant analysis, an extremely negative correlation was observed between the contents of the oleic and the linoleic acid, while the correlation between the yield and the quality of the fatty acid was negative, therefore, the yield and the composition of fatty acid should be taken into consideration when selecting breeding.5 Physical and chemical properties of 15 different Plus-trees have differences. Fat rate close to the refractive 1.469, acid value from 0.45 to 0.88 mg/g, iodine value from 75.46 to 115.8 g/100g, saponification value from 168.3 to 201.45 mg/g.6 Grey correlation comprehensive analysis shows that 15 Plus-trees integrated traits sort results Yahong 17, Yahong 11, Yahong 15, Yahong 9, Yahong 3, Yahong 12, Yahong 16, Yahong 7,Yahong 41, Yahong 38, Yahong 14, Yahong 10, Yahong 2, Yahong 37, Yahong 22. Among them, the Yahong 17 and Yahong 11 have identified new varieties of trees through Sichuan Province.
