The Effect Of Emei Hemsleya Pellets Additives On The Growth Performance, Intestinal Morphology, Digestive Enzyme Activity And Microflora Of Weaned Piglets

This study applied Duroc, crossbred and weaned piglets with similar weight and health as experimental animal, which were randomly divided into groups A, B, C and D, and each repeated group has 8 piglets, Group A, in which piglets were fed with basal diet supplemented with Emei Hemsleya Pellets at 250 g/1000 kg; Group B, in which piglets were fed with basal diet supplemented with Emei Hemsleya Pellets at 500 g/1000 kg; Group C was fed the basal diet; Group D, in which piglets were fed with basal diet supplemented with Colistin Sulfate at 80 g/1000 kg. There were 21 days for the positive test and 5 days for the pre-test. We took the relevant records in the test period, got the samples and detected it at the end of the trial. To explore the feasibility of using Emei Hemsleya to substitute for the antibiotics, we studied the effect of Emei Hemsleya Pellets on the intestinal flora, intestinal structure, intestinal enzyme activities and the piglets growth performance. This test consists of three parts as follows:Test one:Effects of Emei Hemsleya Pellets on growth performance and diarrhea parameter of weaned pigletsDuring the test, we recorded the feed intake of growing piglet, weighed at the beginning and ending of experiment, meanwhile, calculated the average daily weight and conversion ratio. In addition, we also recorded the number of diarrhea piglets and diarrhea days, and calculated the rate of diarrhea. Firstly,250 g/1000 kg Emei Hemsleya Pellets additive could increase significantly the final weight, mean daily gain and reduce feed meat ratio compared to the control group,500 g/1000 kg Emei Hemsleya Pellets additive had no difference at the final weight, mean daily gain; but the feed meat ratio was significantly higher than the control group; Secondly,250 g/1000 kg Emei Hemsleya Pellets additive had no difference at the final weight, mean daily gain and feed meat ratio compared to CS group; Thirdly,250 g/1000 kg Emei Hemsleya Pellets additive could reduce significantly the diarrhea frequency and the diarrhea index compared with CS group, which indicated that adding appropriate amount of Emei Hemsleya Pellets could improve growth performance and anti-diarrhea effect of weaned piglets. In conclusion, adding 250 g/1000 kg Emei Hemsleya Pellets in basic ration can obtain the best for growth performance and ant-diarrhea effect of weaned piglets.Test two:Emei Hemsleya Pellets on the impact of growing piglet intestinal structure and intestinal activityAt the end of the trial, three healthy piglets were selected randomly in each repeated group, then slaughtered. Duodenum, jejunum, ileum and intestinal contents were taken to detection and analysis. The results showed that 250 g/1000 kg Emei Hemsleya Pellets additive could increase significantly the length of duodenum, ileum, and duodenum villi, and the ratio of length of bloom to the depth of pits as well as intestine digestive enzyme, furthermore,500 g/1000 kg Emei Hemsleya Pellets additive could improve intestinal morphology and digestive enzyme activity, however, the difference was not significant, which indicated that it had a better effect in improving intestinal morphology and digestive enzyme activity of weaned piglets to add appropriate amount of Emei Hemsleya Pellets. We realized that adding 250 g/1000 kg Emei Hemsleya Pellets can obtain the best effect for intestinal morphology and digestive enzyme activity of weaned piglets.Test three:Effects of Emei Hemsleya Pellets on intestinal microflora of weaned piglets16SrRNA gene based real-time PCR techniques were employed to analyze the changes in pig intestinal bacterial community composition and population sizes of E. coli and lactobacill with Emei Hemsleya pellets additive of different levels. Results showed that Firstly, the group of 250 g/1000 kg Emei Hemsleya pellets additive increased the quantity of Lactobacillus in the duodenum, jejunum significantly, the ratio of Lactobacillus and E.coli, meanwhile, E.coli was significantly increased at the jejunum; Secondly, compared with control group,500 g/1000 kg Emei Hemsleya pellets additive piglets lactobacilli were significantly increased in the duodenum, E.coli were reduced significantly in the jejunum, the ratios of Lactobacillus and E.coli were increased significantly in the jejunum; Thirdly,250 g/1000 kg Emei Hemsleya Pellets could increase the population of Lactobacillus in weaned pig duodenum jejunum digesta and suppress significantly the population of the E.coli; Finally,500g/1000 kg Emei Hemsleya Pellets additive had little influence on the population of E.coli and Lactobacillus in small intestine compared with CS group.
