With the rapid development of china`s rural economy and the country`s great support for the agriculture, harvesters can accelerate the development of the rural`s economy and reduce labor intensity of farmers. Therefore, harvesters have a great market demand. The development of domestic harvesters made significant progress, but transmission of harvesters mostly used traditional mechanical transmission. In the paper, we study in the hydraulic drive system of the corn harvesters.When the harvester was working, the dynamic load coefficient larger and more frequent changed, thereby increasing the load on transmission of the harvester, reducing its service life, and increasing difficulty for the operator action. When the transmission of harvester used hydraulic drive, it could greatly enhance the environment adaptability, improve its work stability and comfort of driving environment, do not need frequent shifting, reducing the difficulty of the operation.In the paper, the 4YZ-4 type corn combine harvester was as the reseach object, the two common calculation methods of transmission parameter matching for htdraulic harvester were summarized and inductioned, and proposing solutions that matched the parameter between the variable pump and the variable motor. Using VB language, we did the calculation program of the variable pump and the variable motor for the harvester hydraulic system, and did a varialble displacement pump and varialble motor selection. Then the mathematical model of variable pump and variable motor were established, and the variable displacement pump and quantitative motor were analyzed. Finally, using a linear superposition principle, we made the mathematical model between a variable displacement pump and variable motor, and load of the hydrostatic transmission was equivalent treatment. Using MATLAB/Simulink simulation software, the analogue simulation for variable pump and variable motor was did, and dynamic characteristics for hydrostatic transmission system was simulated.
