Study On Preparation Technology Of Expanded And Detoxificated Cottenseed Meal And Its Application

This study was conducted to investigate the suitable expanded and detoxificated conditions of cottonseed meal,the effect of expanded and detoxification process on the cottonseed meal and the feeding effect of expanded and detoxificated cottonseed meal on the broilers, with cottonseed meal and the broilers as the objects, and preliminarily explored the appropriate adding content of expanded and detoxificated cottonseed meal in the broiler diets.The results were as follows:Cottonseed meal expanded smoothly、continuously、stably whether or not were used as the main reference points to study the suitable conditions of temperature 、 crushed granularity and moisture content for cottonseed meal expanding.The results showed that:under the experimental conditions,the suitable conditions for cottonseed meal expanding were that temperature was between110℃and140℃,the moisture content of the materials couldn’t be less than 24%, and the aperture of crushing sieve was between 1.0 and2.5millimete.Cottonseed meal detoxification was the main indicators to evaluate the effect of expanded cottonseed meal’s moisture content and crushed granularity on the detoxification.The results showed that:(1) expanding can significantly reduce the content of free gossypol in cottonseed meal and detoxification rate were more than 50%(P<0.05).(2) When the temperature was 120℃,the screw speed was 15 Hz, feeder’s spindle speed was 10r/min, moisture content in cottonseed meal was 28%, and the optimum aperture of crushing sieve was 1.0millimete,detoxification effect was best and the detoxification rate was 63.24%.Expanding can slightly decrease the content of nutrients in cottonseed meal(P>0.05)and reduce the in vitro digestibility of dry matter and protein(P<0.05).144healthy one-day-old Cobb broilers(the average body weight was 37.71±0.19g)were randomly divided into four treatment groups, each group had three replicates and 12 chickens per replicate. The four groups were:group A, added 4 percent of ordinary cottonseed meal, was the control group,group B,C,D respectively added 4%,6%,8%expanded cottonseed meal,were the test groups.The trial were lasted for 42 days.The testexplored the effects of expanded cottonseed meal on broilers’ growth performance,slaughter performance,immune organ index and serum biochemical indicators.Our study intended to systematically assess the feeding value of expanding cottonseed meal on the Cobb broilers and provide a reference value for the rational use of expanded cottonseed meal in broiler diets.According to the test,the results showed that:(1)During 1~21st,there were no differences in ADG、ADFI of broilers among four groups(P>0.05).Compared to the control group,at the time of 21 days, the average body weight of group B and C were increased by 1.25% and 0.15%,whereas FCR decreased by1.31% and 0.65%,but the difference was not significant(P>0.05);Additionally,the average body weight of group D decreased by 3.47%,but the difference was not significant(P>0.05),FCR was 3.94% higher than the control group(P<0.05),22 ~ 42 days of age and the whole feeding stage,compared with control group,ADFI、ADG、FCR and the average body weight of 42 days of age in group B、C、D were not significant different(P>0.05).(2)When different proportions of expanded cottonseed meal was added to broilers’ diets, there was no significant effect on slaughter rate,half eviscerated rate,eviscerated rate,breast muscle rate,leg muscle rate and abdominal fat rate(P>0.05);there were also no significant effect on thymus,spleen,fabricius’ growth(P>0.05).(3)In the whole feeding stage, the content or activity of TP,ALB,GLU,TCHO,ALT,AST,GGT,BUN and CREA in serum in experimental group and control group had no significant difference(P>0.05)Integrate on the broiler test’s result : we could find out that if the level of metabolizable energy, crude protein, methionine and lysine in the diets was ensured basically consistent, feeded by the diets contained expanded and common cottonseed meal,there was no significant difference on the broilers’ production performance,but the average body weight on 42 days of age had a tendency to increase, when expanded cottonseed meal was 6%,8%,there were not obvious side effect and no influence on broilers liver and kidney function,and under the proportion,the proportion of soybean meal in broilers diets formula had fallen. According to the test results, the adding proportion of expanded cottonseed meal in broilers diets formula could reach to 8%.
