Our country continued to increase the investment and the support in developing modern agriculture in the 12th five-year plan, the development process of which has been accelerated by the expansion and development of greenhouse. But facility agriculture started late and developed slowly in our country, especially, mechanization level is low. Most operations still depends on manual labor which is intensive and has a poor quality and low efficiency. There exists a big gap compared with developed countries. The traditional soil farming tools usually use diesel and gasoline as the driving force which will pollute the environment in airtight greenhouse. To reduce the labor intensity of greenhouse work and the pollution in greenhouse, this paper designed a type of electric cultivator which is suitable for greenhouse.The whole machine is made up of electric motor, clutch, reducer, transmission system, working parts, operating mechanism ect. The electric motor provides power, which was transferred to working axis through transmission system, clutch, reducer. Driven by working axis, the rotary blade would complete the rotary tillage process. the whole machine was pushed forward by the reaction force from soil to rotary blade. The clutch will cut off the power output when it’s needed, and react the function of overload protection;you can adjust the tilth depth and the speed of advance by adjusting the embedded depth of resistance spade, control advancing direction by operating handle which made the whole working process safe and reliable.By analyzing, we decided to prefer the theory of self-propelled rotary tilling, using none of the driving wheel which makes the structure of the whole machine simple and lower the whole machine’s weight to achieve the goal of convenient operation. On the precondition of guarantee the quality of the rotary cultivation, we optimized every part’s position. Using solidworks/simulation to analysis the distortion and force of the main parts gets the stress, strain nephogram and displacement nephogram. Then design every part to make further improve based on the analysis.On the premise of satisfying agriculture requirements, we analyzed the effection of power consumption come from the machine’s forward speed, the tilth depth, cutting pitch and so on, determining related parameter, reducing the power consumption as much as possible, ascertain the type of electric motor and speed reducer.By using electric motor as power, this machine reduced the pollution to the environment, improved the economy and satisfied the request of low carbon environmental protection compared with the traditional diesel engine or petrol engine. The whole machine has such advantages as simple structure, small size, light weight, good mobility, is suitable to work in the narrow glasshouse.
