Inulalineariifolia Turcz. is one of the common cough medicine in our country, more than used for cold cough, phlegm retention and storage, chest tightness, asthmatic cough and much sputum, vomiting, etc. The resources of Inula lineariifolia Turcz. mainly by wild Inula linariifolia Turcz. and Inula japonica Thunb., there are few artificial cultivation, according to flora records Inula japonica Thunb. and Inula linariifolia Turcz. are widely distributed, widely grown in north China, northeast, central and eastern provinces, is extremely common, was also seen in sichuan, guizhou, fujian, guangdong, in Mongolia, north Korea, Siberia, Japan has distribution, but now because of the influence of the environmental damage and human, outdoor environment changes unceasingly, appropriate environment for Inula japonica Thunb. and Inula linariifolia Turcz. grow are suffered severe damage, is on the verge of extinction.With development and utilization of Inulalineariifolia Turcz., the market demand for Inulalineariifolia Turcz growing, in the face of dwindling Inula japonica Thunb. and Inula linariifolia Turcz. resources, the growing contradiction between supply and demand, to solve the current difficulties, the need to understand the distribution of wild resources and reserves, expand production cultivation at the same time. In this paper, from three aspects of resources distribution, reproduction and chemical composition of Inula japonica Thunb. and Inula linariifolia Turcz. germplasm resource investigation and analysis, the main results were as follows:(1) Through field research the 7 provinces of 18 Inula linariifolia Turcz. group and 6 Inula japonica Thunb. group, and analysis the different areas in geography, climate, distribution, human activities, morphological ect. Results showed that the Inula linariifolia Turcz. and Inula japonica Thunb. mainly distributed in JiangSu, AnHui, HeNan, ZheJiang and other provinces of the Yangtze river north of little artificially affected areas; In man-made influence is bigger and more drought areas, Inula linariifolia Turcz. and Inula japonica Thunb. are hard to cover; Inula linariifolia Turcz. and narrow distribution range than Inula japonica Thunb., to grow on clay or clay loam, and distribution and lower altitude region of humid environments, such as hills, plains; Inula japonica Thunb. distribution range is wide, can grow in sandy beach and high altitude areas; Inula linariifolia Turcz. in the wild breeding rely mainly on asexual reproduction and combination of seed breeding methods.(2) Analysis and comparison the different Inula japonica Thunb. in botany morphology difference, the results show that the different parts of Inula japonica Thunb. in botany morphology has great difference, the genetic distance changes over geographical distance, to a certain extent, but not completely influenced by geographical distance; Anhui Huoqiu county in the group and Jiangsu Nanjing plant height, biomass, can be used as a special germplasm resources.(2) The results of analysis the different Inula linariifolia Turcz. and Inula japonica Thunb. group of chemical composition showed that different group of Inula linariifolia Thunb. and Inula japonica Thunb. soluble sugar, total flavonoids and the extraction content of have a big difference, in Inula linariifolia Turcz. group, the highest content of soluble sugar is group 2, in group 22 the total flavonoids reach the highest, in group 9 and group 1 Oleaching content are most; In Inula japonica Thunb. group, the highest content of soluble sugar is group 25, total content of flavonoids in group 6 is highest, in group 26 leaching content are most; The chemical composition change in different parts of Inula linariifolia Turcz. and Inula japonica Thunb. is consistent, soluble sugar content are show root> whole plant> flower, the content of flavone and leaching are show flower> whole plant> root.
