Establishment Of Green Space Management Information System In Campus

With the function of green space in campus spreading in the teachers and students, how to manage the green space in campus scientificly has been forced on by the campus greening department. Green space in good condition has not only provided the comfortable environment for the teachers and students to work and study, but also played an important role in the air purification、 humidity control and noise reduction. Nowadays, most of the green space in campus has been mainly built through the greening workers, and large number of the data of the green space has not been organized efficiently, leading the work of query and statistic still difficult. In order to reach the target of efficient management for the green space in campus, how to build the green space management information system in campus was discussed in this paper. This paper was taking the green spaces in Beijing Forestry University as an example, and the technical route were drawn up according to the system objectives and requirements of the demand analysis. First of all, the vegetation、ancillary facilities’ spatial coordinates and all types of property information were obtained by measuring the campus green space, the green space in campus was divided into arbor、 bush、flower, fence, lawn and the green facilities were divided into valve、outlet、sprinkler、scene, then take use of CAD、Maplnfo Professional to build layers for the spatial objects and establish the maintenance work files by Access, the maintenance work was divided into check、replanting、 fertilization、pruning、pest control、antifreeze; at last, the system was established by developing in VS2010, using MFC integrating MapX, the style of the interface is ribbon. Green space management information system in campus mainly achieved the following work:(1)The spatial and attribute data were combined,the layers of different types of map elements were built and displayed in the system; (2)Spatial query、attribute query and statistical function were realized, including vegetation attributes、 pictures、species introduction、irrigation area、vegetation index calculation and statistics、results output; (3)The system provided convenient tools for map operation, including standard tools and ranging、area measuring、legend. (4) The system realized data import、edit and delete, providing tools for spatial data updating and maintenance. (5)Green space maintenance module provided electronic records for maintenance work, users could maintain the work of input、query and statistics. Green space management information system in campus provided a visual interface and the efficient、 accurate spatial query tool for green work, basically meeting the needs of users, improving the work efficiency, reducing the labor costs, and providing reference basis for landscape planning and scientific maintenance.
