Study On Harvesting Characteristics Of Sapindus And Its Harvesting Equipment

Sapindus is an excellent economic species, which is mainly grown in Southeast Asia and Yangtze River basin. Sapindus is of high economic value in medicine, cosmetic and energy development. Especially Sapindus seeds can be refined into biomass fuel, so it is a species with economic development prospects.In recent years, with the increasing people’s awareness of environmental protection, Sapindus has attracted more and more attention. However Sapindus mainly grows on the slopes in southern China, and harvesting is not convenient. Manual-picking operation is not only dangerous but also has a very low efficiency. Limited by the sloping terrain, there is almost no suitable harvesting machinery for picking Sapindus. Therefore, the study on Sapindus physical harvesting characteristics and its harvesting machine design will be very meaningful.This paper mainly deals with Sapindus physical harvesting characteristics and its harvesting machine design. The main research and results of this paper are as follows:1. Measured the stalk binding force of Sapindus by designing an experiment, and finished some research on the impact of time on it, and got its natural frequency by modal analysis method.2. Referring to Sapindus physical harvesting characteristics and the principle of harvesting, selected the best one as the final harvesting solution and designed each components of the equipment and assembled them. The model of harvesting equipment is designed for finite element analysis.3. ANSYS Workbench is used for finite element analysis of the Sapindus harvesting equipment model. The final results showed equivalent stress distribution and total deformation of transmission mechanism and executive mechanism. The equipment structure was optimized according to the simulation results. Finished the drawing of harvesting equipment, and it can be used for processing.The main innovation of this paper is as follows:1. Studied the harvesting characteristics of Sapindus, and acquired the stalk binding force and its influenced factors. It has some significance in determining the best harvesting period.2. Sapindus harvesting equipment is of simple structure and low cost, it can also reduce the burden of work, so it has good market prospects.
