As we known, the fodder with feed flavor agents could improve the growth performance of weaned piglets, but the saccharin sodium had metallic taste and cannot be degraded, so we need to explore the other flavor agents to mask the metallic taste of saccharin sodium, and to explore the substitutes of saccharin sodium. However, there were a few reports of two or more types of flavor agents applied to weaned piglets at the same time. There were three experiments of this thesis. Through free-choice method to assess the preference of novel feed flavor agents on weaned piglets, and through growth experiment to study the effects of novel feed flavor agents on growth performance, serum biochemical indexes, nutrient digestibility and fecal microbe number of weaned piglets. The results of the present study would provide theoretical basis for the application of novel feed flavor agents in feeds of weaned piglets.Trial one:Application effects of different compound sweeteners in feeds of weaned piglets. These piglets were randomly divided into 2 groups. A total of 36 (28±2)-day-old were used in test (1). These piglets were randomly divided into 3 groups with 4 replicates and 3 piglets in each replicate. The test lasted 5 d. The piglets in control group were feeded with the basal diet that didn’t add feed flavor agents. The piglets in test groups of I, II, III were feeded with test diet, and the test diet were added 0.2 g/kg compound sweetener 1,0.2 g/kg compound sweetener 2,0.25 g/kg compound sweetener 3. A total of 128 (28± 2)-day-old piglets were used in test (2). These piglets were randomly divided into 4 groups with 4 replicates and 8 piglets in each replicate. The test lasted 28 d. The piglets in control group were feeded with the basal diet that didn’t add feed flavor agents. The piglets in test groups of I, II, III were feeded with test diet, and the test diet were added.0.2 g/kg compound sweetener 1,0.2 g/kg compound sweetener 2,0.25 g/kg compound sweetener 3. Results showed that:1) The partial eclipse indexes of compound sweetener 1, compound sweetener 2 and compound sweetener 3 were 1.58,4.42 and 1.58; and the preference were 60.59%,68.96% and 40.50%, respectively.2) The F/G of weaned piglets with different compound sweeteners was reduced extremely significantly in test 1~14 d (P=0.004).3) The digestibility of OM, Ca and P of weaned piglets with compound sweetener 2 were elevated significantly. These results suggested that there was a medium preference of compound sweetener 1, and a higher preference of compound sweetener 2. The diets added compo und sweetener 1 and compound sweetener 2 could improve the growth performance.Trial two:Application effects of novel sweetener and novel umami enhancer in feeds of weaned piglets. The piglets in test groups of Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ were feeded with test diet, and the test diet were added 0.2 g/kg saccharin sodium,0.2 g/kg novel umami enhancer,0.2 g/kg novel sweetener. A total of 128 (28±2)-day-old piglets were used in test (2). These piglets were randomly divided into 4 groups with 4 replicates and 8 piglets in each replicate. The test lasted 28 d. The piglets in control group were feeded with the basal diet that didn’t add feed flavor agents. The piglets in test groups of I, II, III were feeded with test diet, and the test diet were add 0.2 g/kg saccharin sodium,0.2 g/kg novel umami enhancer,0.2 g/kg novel sweetener. Results showed that:1) The partial eclipse indexes of saccharin sodium, novel umami enhancer and novel sweetener were 1.82,8.95 and 0.97; and the preference were 62.99%,88.43% and 48.69%, respectively.2) The F/G of weaned piglets with saccharin sodium, novel umami enhancer and novel sweetener was reduced extremely significantly in test 1~14 d and 1~28 d (P=0.000; P=0.001).3) The GLP-1 level of weaned piglets with novel umami enhancer was reduced significantly. These results suggested that there was a medium preference of saccharin sodium, and a higher preference of novel umami enhancer. The diets added saccharin sodium, novel umami enhancer and novel sweetener could improve the growth performance.Trial three:Application effects of different compound flavoring in feeds of weaned piglets. These piglets were randomly divided into 2 groups. A total of 48 (28±2)-day-old were used in test (1). These piglets were randomly divided into 3 groups with 4 replicates and 4 piglets in each replicate. The test lasted 5 d. The piglets in control group were feeded with the basal diet that didn’t add feed flavor agents. The piglets in test groups of Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ were feeded with test diet, and the test diet were add 0.2 g/kg saccharin sodium+0.8 g/kg flavour, 0.2 g/kg novel umami enhancer+0.8 g/kg flavour and 0.2 g/kg novel sweetener+0.8 g/kg flavour. The piglets in test groups of I, II, III were feeded with test diet, and the test diet were add 0.2 g/kg saccharin sodium+0.8 g/kg flavour,0.2 g/kg novel umami enhancer+0.8 g/kg flavour and 0.2 g/kg novel sweetener+0.8 g/kg flavour. Results showed that:1) The partial eclipse indexes of saccharin sodium+flavour, novel umami enhancer+ flavour and novel sweetener+flavour were 1.33,1.57 and 1.30; and the preference were 54.24%,55.71% and 52.27%, respectively.2) The F/G of weaned piglets with saccharin sodium+flavour and novel umami enhancer+flavour was reduced significantly in test 1-14 d.3) The OM digestibility of weaned piglets with saccharin sodium+flavour and novel umami enhancer+flavour was elevated significantly. These results suggested that there was a medium preference of novel umami enhancer+flavour. The diets added saccharin sodium+ flavour and novel umami enhancer+flavour could improve the growth performance and nutrition digestibility of weaned piglets. Thus, the diets added compound sweetener 1, compound sweetener 2, novel sweetener, novel umami enhancer, saccharin sodium+flavour and novel umami enhancer+flavour could improve the growth performance of weaned piglets.
