Development And Application Of Forest Resource Inventory PDA Technology

With the development of the time and upgrading of various technologies, forest resources inventory also need to change as a significant part of forestry work. With the technology of information technology equipment and precise theoretical system of forestry development, and theoretical system of forest resources and forest resources survey device continuously updating. From traditional tape and the total station to modern MINI super total station instrument, forest resources inventory devices are constantly toward portability.The solution of forest resources inventory handheld devices is about the forestry handheld surveying equipment, forestry handheld recording equipment and cloud computing technology. Based on the three-level management as well as other functions, we completely put forward a set of solution, including measurement, recording, calculating, drawing and cloud data management.In this paper, the PDA developed for forest resource inventory is based on the embedded development as the core, using ARM and Windows CE development of forestry handheld measuring equipment, which mainly provides the measuring functions of tree diameter at breast height, tree height, angle, and geographic coordinates. Mobile terminal Hybrid development is set as the core, using Android with Cordova development of forestry handheld recording equipment, which mainly provides the integration of recording, computing, data visualization and statistical functions to sample tree and sample plot, while using cloud data services by mobile terminal network module. As used herein, the development of the cloud server applications is based on the Ali cloud server backstage development as the core, using the RESTful data services which provided by MEAN Stack technology, as well as export Excel spreadsheet functions.The innovative features of forest resources inventory PDA are:1. It provides a full set of service flow of the statistical, recording, calculating and drawing with cloud computing and data processing from beginning to the end.2. The solution is proposed a new algorithm for standing forest observation and the standing tree model.3. The solution solves the shortcomings in the computing, storage and visualization of traditional forestry handheld device by the combination of hardware measuring instruments, mobile terminal, and work process in the cloud.4. The solution has a C/S and B/S hybrid configuration and NoSQL, constructed with a combination of internal and external work of integration cloud forest resources inventory solutions.
