The production of Peony seed oil depends on the large-scale planting, How to effectively take off the fruits of harvest peony pod, sorting, and squeezed in time, is one of the key factors for the development of oil with peony industry. At present, there is not a specific device for fruit threshing, sorting of the peony.For the sake of solving the blank field about peony oil fruit removal pod sorting machinery and equipment home and abroad. In this paper, by analyzing and comparing with other fruit crops shelling equipment and combining with characteristics of peony fruit, a mechanical removal of pods, sorting method, mainly introducing the squeeze and rub peeled technology into the peony fruit hulling separation process and research the peony fruit pod separation principle is put forward.Based upon the proposed of peony fruit pod separation principle, the author researches and designs a virtual prototype of the oil peony fruit removal pod sorting device by using the principle of mechanical design, including power and transmission system, pod system, sorting system, reversing system and total frame and so on, at the same time, the strength and stiffness of the key parts is checked.In order to verify the rationality of the oil peony fruit removal pod separation principle, simulation on the movement during.The peony fruit pods process has been done getting the trajectory and the main kinetic parameters of the peony centroid, which has proved that verifying the fruits of the peony pod removal principle is correct in theory.At last, according to the design and analysis, a prototype of the oil peony fruit threshing separation device has been processed and manufactured, it has and put the peony fruit hulling, separating experiment, hulling rate, separation rate and damage rate as an evaluation index to obtain the better design parameters of pod. The final test results show that the removal of pods and the separating effect is good, which can satisfy the design requirements. And accounting for the cost of the device from three aspects:direct materials, direct labor, and manufacturing expenses, it provides certain reference for the mass production.
