Per capita water resources are seriously insufficient in China. In the use of water, agricultural irrigation water accounts for a large part of the use of fresh water; As traditional irrigation methods are not scientific, irrigation water resources utilization efficiency is low, and the water resources are wasted seriously, which further aggravated the problem of water shortage. Improving irrigation technology is an important way to relieve the pressure of agricultural water. Improving irrigation technology and optimising irrigation method are important ways to reduce water waste. The greenhouse is an important component of China’s agricultural facilities. As a typical representative of agricultural water-saving technology, drip irrigation has been widely used in crop irrigation in greenhouse. In order to save water scientifically, improve agricultural irrigation methods, improve irrigation water efficiency and realize automatic irrigation control, this paper designed a monitoring and control system of drip irrigation in greenhouse based on Android. Specific contents and result of the paper are as follows:(1) According to the functional requirements of the drip irrigation system in greenhouse, the paper designed the scheme of the system. Through the modular design method, drip irrigation monitoring system in the greenhouse is divided into four functional module design, including: meteorological information collection module, data processing and irrigation control module, communication module and the rs232-can conversion module, and maked each module board and software programming.(2) Taking advantage of android’s opening source code and portability, the paper completed the Android system boot program and the kernel transplantation, and created the Android file system. The Android operating system transplantation was transplanted at last.(3) According to the theoretical results of crop water demand at home and abroad, the evapotranspiration was used as the basis of crop water requirement. According to the revised penman-monteith equation in the greenhouse, the paper realized the calculation of crop water requirement, and realized the function of serial communication, complete the design of irrigation control program of user interface.(4) Completed the test of each function module, and then each module were connected to finish the system testing.The testing results showes that the system works well, can make a judgment to crop water requirement according to the impact of temperature and humidity on evapotranspiration, thus control the opening and closing of the drip irrigation system, and achieved the purpose of the design.In this paper, the integrated Android system transplantation technology, meteorological sensor technology and GSM communication technology were adopted in the design of drip irrigation monitoring system in greenhouse based on Android platform. The system calculated demand of water in greenhouse, and controled the drip irrigation system according to the calculation. The testing results showes that the system runs reliably, the efficiency of irrigation water is improved, and the effect of water saving is achieved. This system has a good prospect of application.
