This paper mainly studied the effects of feeding modes on trace element digestibility and its distribution in muscle of Hulunbeir lambs (HL), Hulunbeir ×Dorpher crossbreed lambs (HZ) and cashmere kid goats. The results of the study provided a theoretical basis for scientific use of trace elements in ration of cashmere kid goats, HLand HZ lambs. The total of one hundred and twenty, healthy, weaned HL and HZ lambs were selected which had similar age and body weight and then divided into four groups of thirty animals in each group. This experiment was designed 2x2 factorial arrangement. The first factorial arrangement was two fattening ways, included in grazing feeding and grazing with supplementation. The second factorial arrangement was breeds including Hulunbeir lambs and Hulunbeir×Dorpher crossbreed lambs. The fattening period was divided into early fattening stage (1-30d) and the late fattening stage (31-60d). Everyday each lamb was fed with 0.27 kg concentrates during the early stage and 0.53 kg concentrates during the late stage.Experiment one was conducted the effects of different feeding ways and breeds on trace elements digestibility of HL and HZ lambs. It was taken samples from rectal feces which was selected 5 lambs in late fattening stage. The digestion rate of Mn, Zn, Cu, and Fe trace elements were determined by the method of endogenous indicator. Experiment two was conducted the effects of different feeding ways and breeds on the trace element contents in muscle of HL and HZ lambs. After the end of the trial samples of longissimus dorsi, triceps, biceps femoris from each groups were collected and the contents of Co, Cu, Fe, Mn and Zn were determined. Experiment three and four were conducted to design single-factor completely randomized trial; experiment three was conducted to compare the difference of trace element content in different parts of HL and HZ lambs. Experiment four was conducted to compare the difference of trace element content in muscle of Hulunbeir lambs and Arbas white cashmere goats during under natural grazing. The experimental results were shown:(1)There were differences on the digestibility of trace elements of Hulunbeirlambs and Hulunbeir x Dorpher crossbreed lambs between different fattening ways. Compared with grazing, grazing with supplementation were significantly higher on the digestibility of the trace elements of Fe, Mn and Zn in HL and HZ lambs (P<0.05),but the digestibility of the trace elements of Cu was lower(P=0.058).(2) Compared with lambs in HL, the digestibility of the trace element of Zn was higher than HZ lambs (P<0.05). Compared with lambs in HL, the contents of Mn in triceps was significantly higher (P<0.05) but the content of the trace element of Fe in femoral muscle were lower (P<0.01). The contents of Fe and Zn in brachial triceps, the contents of Mn、Zn and Se in biceps and the contents of Cu,Fe,Mn and Zn in longissimus dorsi of Arbas white cashmere kid goats were higher than HL lambs under natural grazing(P<0.05).(3)There was a significant effect on trace elements in different parts of muscle. The contents of Cu,Fe and Zn muscle in biceps were higher, but the contents of Cu,Fe and Zn in longissimus were lower; the contents of Mn and Se in brachial triceps were higher, but the contents of Mn and Se in biceps muscle and longissimus dorsi were lower.(4)There was a significant interaction effect of fattening ways and breeds on the content of trace elements of Mn in brachial triceps(P<0.05).Among them, the contents of Mn in triceps of HL under grazing with supplementary was the highest, but the contents of other trace elements were comparatively lower, especially, HZ lambs under grazing with supplementary was the lowest. To sum up, digestibility of trace element of Fe, Mn and Zn in lambs was improved by grazing with supplementation, there were differences on the trace elements in muscles of Hulunbeir lambs and Arbas white cashmere kid goats, there was a significant effect on trace elements in different parts of muscle.
