Trace elements were closely related to the health and production performance of animals. The amount of trace elements required by the animal body was small, however it plays an extremely important role in maintaining the normal physiological and biochemical functions of the animal body.In order to investigate the feeding effect of trace elements addition levels on suckling lambs in Zhaosu pastoral area, according to the requirements of trace element in the mutton sheep breeding standards make different levels of trace element premix. The effects of different levels of trace elements on growth performance, nutrient digestibility, antioxidant capacity, immune performance and the content of trace elements in serum of lactating lambs were studied through feeding experiment.Experiment 1: Effects of trace elements addition level on growth performance and the nutrients apparent digestibility of lambs.Forty Xinjiang fine-wool lambs with similar health,age(30±3 d)and weight(7.35±0.61 kg)were selected and randomly divided into four groups, namely control group, group A,group B and group C,with 10 lambs in each group.According to the upper limit of trace element requirement in Mutton Sheep Feeding Standard,0%,25%,50% and 100% premix containing the upper limit of trace element requirement were added to each group of concentrate supplements respectively and the experiment lasted 40 days.Growth performance and nutrient digestibility of lambs were measured at the end of the feeding experiment. The results showed that group C had the largest weight gain and average daily weight gain, which were significantly higher than that of group A,group B and control group(P<0.05).There were no significant difference in group A,group B and control group(P>0.05).The feed intake of each group were not significant(P>0.05).The average daily growth of body height and body oblique length were the largest in group C,which were significantly higher than control group and group A(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between group C and group B(P>0.05).There were no significant difference in group A,group B and control group(P>0.05).The daily growth of chest circumference in group C was the largest, significantly higher than control group, group A and group B(P<0.05),but there were no significant difference among control group, group A and group B(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the daily growth of perimeter between each groups(P>0.05).The digestibility of dry matter, crude protein and acid detergent fiber of group C were significantly higher than group A and control group(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference in group C and group B(P>0.05).There were no significant difference in group A,group B and control group(P>0.05).The digestibility of dietary neutral detergent fiber of group C were significantly higher than group A,group B and control group(P<0.05).And there were no significant difference in group A,group B and control group(P>0.05).The above results showed that the addition amounts of Fe,Cu,Mn,Zn,I,Se and Co were 23.00,5.20,12.00,14.00,0.12,0.08,0.096 mg/kg respectively, which had the best effect on improving the growth performance and nutrient digestibility of lambs, but the effect was not obvious when the dosage was lower than above amounts.Experiment 2: Effects of trace elements addition level on serum biochemical indexes of lambsThe effects on serum trace elements, immune and antioxidant indexes were determined after feeding experiment. The results showed that there were no significant difference in the content of Fe and Cu in serum between each groups(P>0.05).The content of Mn in serum of group C was extremely higher than that other three groups(P<0.01),and group B was extremely higher than that of group A and control group(P<0.01),and group A compared with control group were not significant(P>0.05).The content of Zn and Se in serum showed the same trend as Mn.The content of Co in serum of group C were the highest, and significantly higher than group A(P<0.05),and extremely higher than that of control group(P<0.01),and group A and group B significantly higher than control group(P<0.05),and group A compared with group B were not significant(P>0.05).The activity of GSH-Px in serum of group C was the highest, which was extremely different from that group A,group B and control group(P<0.01).There were significant differences between group B and group A,control group(P<0.01),and group A compared with control group were not significant(P>0.05).The activity of T-SOD and the value of T-AOC in serum of group C were the highest, and extremely higher than the other three groups(P<0.01),and the activity of T-SOD in serum of group B was extremely higher than group A and control group(P<0.01),and there were no significant difference in group A and control group(P>0.05).The content of MDA in serum of group C was extremely lower than group A and group control(P<0.01),and group B was significantly lower than group A and control group(P<0.05),and there were no significant difference in group A and control group(P>0.05).The content of TP in serum of group C was significantly higher than group A,group B and control group(P<0.05),and group A,group B and control group were not significant difference(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in content of ALB among groups(P>0.05).The content of IgG in serum of group C was significantly higher than group A,group B and control group(P<0.05),and group A,group B and control group were no significant(P>0.05).The content of GLB in serum of group C was significantly higher than group A and control group(P<0.05),and no significant difference with group B(P>0.05),and group A compared with group B were no significant difference(P>0.05).The above results showed that when Fe,Cu,Mn,Zn,I,Se and Co were added at 23.00,5.20,12.00,14.00,0.12,0.08,0.096 mg/kg,respectively,the effect of improving the nutritional status of microelements and improving the immune performance and antioxidant capacity of lambs was the best.
