In the construction of urban afforestation, planting indigenous plants widely will be of great importance in improving the diversity of the city and urban ecological environment, which builds the harmony between man and nature as well as the regional characteristics. In order to provide reference to the application of indigenous plants in urban landscape for the future, construct urban landscape more scientifically and reasonably and realize the sustainable development of the urban landscape, this paper, based on the study of indigenous plants in Yiyang, makes some investigations and evaluation on indigenous plants and calculates the corresponding comprehensive scores. According to the study, the author chose the most suitable indigenous species for Yiyang urban landscape. Results can be drawn as follows:(1) 60 representative zones within the planning area of Yiyang are chosed in the vestigation. Total 145 families,461 genera,961 species of plants (including variants) are involved, which include 11 families,13 genera,14 species of ferns,9 families,23 genera, 53s species,6 variants of gymnosperms, and 125 families,445 genera 888 species of angiosperms.① According to the preliminary statistics, there are total 124 families,328 genera 617 species of indigenous plants in the planning area of Yiyang, which include 8 families, 8 genera,8 species of ferns,7 families,7 genera,9 species of gymnosperms, and 109 families,313 genera,600 species of angiosperms. The number of the families, genera, and species of indigenous plants counts for 85.52%,71.15%, and 64.2% of landscape plants, respectly. So, Yiyang is rich in indigenous plant resources.② According to the survey, Yiyang center city has total 232 plant species including 131 species of indigenous plants which belong to 61 families,104 genera. The application proportion of indigenous plants is obviously low, which is 56.47%. And the indigenous plants that has been applied in the center city of Yiyang account for 21.23%. Due to the low utilization rate of indigenous plant species, many indigenous plants that have profound developing potentials and high application values do not get application in urban landscapes.(2) The paper constructs the evaluation system of indigenous plants in Yiyang by using the method of analytic hierarchy and gives the evaluations for 609 species indigenous plants (no fern).① Evaluation results:level Ⅰ represents comprehensive benefits maximum, and total 202 species are evaluated as level Ⅰ, which means these species not only are the most suitable to plant in Yiyang but also have high ornamental value and good ecological benefits. Due to these reason, they are the first choose of indigenous plants in Yiyang. Level Ⅱ represents that species have relative high comprehensive benefits which includes 267 species. These species should be applied more in urban landscape. Level Ⅲ represents that species have relative low comprehensive benefits which includes 140 species. They are regarded as the alternative and supplementary of indigenous plants.② Among them, all 131 species of indigenous plants in Yiyang center city are evaluated as the first two level. Level Ⅰ and Level Ⅱ is 82 and 49, respectively. The application of the species of level Ⅰ in Yiyang has fully demonstrated that they own very high adaptability, ornamental value and utilization. As for level Ⅱ, they are common species in Yiyang landscape, which can rich urban landscape plants and have relative high comprehensive benefits.(3) On the basis of application evaluation of indigenous plants in Yiyang landscape and the scores of index, this paper makes some suggestions on tone tree species, backbone tree species and general tree species and also gives advice against different types of Greenland, which provides various selection for enriching the species of indigenous plants to the urban afforestation in Yiyang.
