Preliminary Study On The Autotoxic Effect Of Atractylodes Macrocephala Koidz

Through studying the effect of aqueous extracts and previous culture medium on seed germination, seedling growth, and related physiological and biochemical indexes of Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz, to preliminary study on the autotoxicity of Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz. The main contents and results were as follows:1.There was an overall inhibitory effect on seed germination and seedling growth under the treatment of aqueous extracts. Using membership function comprehensive evaluation, toxicity of stem and leaf aqueous extracts > toxicity of root aqueous extracts.2.The changes in seed germination and seedling growth under different treatments of the previous medium were different, it’s difficult to directly evaluate effect, and the comprehensive D value was used to evaluate and analysis. Comprehensive sort for growing quality of Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz were: fresh seed germination medium>seed germination medium for culturing 25 days>seed germination medium for culturing 45 days>rooting medium for culturing 30 days>rooting medium for culturing 40 daysproliferation medium for culturing 30 days>seed germination medium for culturing 35 days>newly rooting medium>fresh proliferation medium>rooting medium for culturing 50 daysproliferation medium for culturing 40 days. That expressed the previous seed germination medium had toxic effect on seedlings, previous proliferation medium and rooting medium with culturing short time can induce its own protective effect, and with culturing longer time had inhibitory effect.In addition, the newly proliferation and rooting medium were sorted at the back, the growth substances probably were harmful to the seed germination and seedling growth.3.Under treatments of the previous rooting medium, the chlorophyll content were decreased to some extent, RWC, MDA and conductivity were increased; pro,soluble sugar and soluble protein content was increased firstly and then decreased; activities of antioxidant enzymes in the 5~10 days showed a rising trend, after were different changes about enzyme activity; chitinase and β- 1, 3-glucanase activity has some decrease, PPO was increased firstly and then decreased, and PAL activity volatile under long time preceding rooting medium processing has a certain decline. That showed the previous rooting medium has certain harm, automatic regulation ability of Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz although played a role, but no regularity, and the adjustment of the system disorder, it may be caused by difference and complexity of the physiological response mechanism.
