The building ridge work of paddy fields is an important process in the production of rice. The artificial building ridge work has the characteristicsof time-consumingand laborious, high labor intensity, low efficiency,and poor quality, which cannot be able to meet the practical requirement ofcost decreasing and effect increasing in rice production. A new type of rotary tillage and building ridge combined working machine for paddy fieldhas been designed.First,thedesign schemeof the rotary tillage and building ridge combined working machinefor paddy fieldwas confirmed in this paper.According tothe selected design scheme, the machine mainly consists ofrotary tillage parts, transmission system, collector of soil, turnover mechanism, ridging forming device, et al.Transmission type and the specific parameters of transmission were confirmed based on the selected design scheme. Then, the structure of the machine parts was designed, so that it can meet the requirements of the actual operation of the machine. The turnover mechanism can make the machine achieve rotary tillage operation by risingthe ridging parts,when there is no need to build ridge. Therefore, the machine has the advantages of double purposesin one machine, high productive efficiency, and goodoperationquality, which can solve the problems of artificial building ridge and promotecost decreasing and effect increasing in rice production.After the designing was finished, Solidworks was used to establish the threedimensional model of the parts and completed the virtual assembly of the machine, and then simulation model of machine was obtained. Relevant technical parameters of the machine wereinitially identified.Secondly, based on finite element method, finite element analysis softwareANSYS was used to analysis the machine’s key components—rotary cutter axis and combined working machine frame. The results show that the cutter axis and combined working machine frame can meet the requirements of its strength and stiffness, and the design of the structure is safe and reliable. The structure was optimized on the basis of static analysis, and the weight was reducedon the condition of ensuring the strength and the stiffness, which also saves material and reduces the production costs.Finally, based on the modal analysis theory, modal analysis was used to the rotary frame and the natural frequency and vibration were obtained.According to the dynamic characteristics, the vulnerable area of the rotary frame was found, which lays the important theoretical foundation for further dynamic analysis and structure optimization.
