As the agricultural province and important commodity grain production base, Jilin Province plays a significant role in our country’s agricultural production. In recent years, the agricultural production of Jilin Province gains further improvement, but the carbon emission amount increases continuously due to agriculture activities. Therefore, research upon Jilin agriculture carbon emission spatial characteristics and driven mechanism to construct agricultural carbon emission policy system has significant strategic meaning and practical role for Jilin to achieve the “13th five year plan”, reach 2020 emission reduction goal, and keep sustainable development and ecological province construction.Based upon agricultural material investment and 6 carbon sources of fertilizer, pesticide, agricultural film, agricultural diesel oil, ploughed fallow and irrigation in agricultural production process, through research methods of literature review, statistics analysis, experience reference and field research, this paper calculates agricultural carbon emission amount and carbon emission strength in Jilin from 1990-2013 and cities in 2013 analyzes spatial characteristics and driven factor of Jilin Agricultural carbon emission and proposes policies and advice to promote agricultural carbon emission reduction. The major research results are as follows:1. In 2013, the total area of agricultural land in Jilin is 1639.30×104hm2, cultivated area is 700.07×104hm2, which is mainly distributed by Changchun and Songyuan. Jilin agricultural land ecological environment pollution is mainly expressed in higher fertilizer dose, increased by 1.56 times; agricultural fertilizer amount increases by 6.11 times; use amount of agricultural film increases by 1.75 times. In addition, the ecological environment pressure caused by agricultural mechanism use, crop straw burning and agricultural irrigation increases day by day, respectively increases by 3.33 times, 0.75 time and 2.10 times.2. Since 1990, Jilin agricultural carbon emission has been in uprising status. Overall, it can be divided into four changing stages, fluctuation increasing stage, slow increasing stage, fluctuation decreasing stage and obviously slow stage of increasing rate. Agricultural carbon emissions in Jilin cities have characteristics of high emission in the central areas and low emission in the eastern and western areas.3. Based upon Kaya carbon emission identical equation, it finds out through decomposing agricultural carbon emission influence factor, compare to basis term in 1990-2013, efficiency factor and structure factor respectively contributes 83.63% and 25.54% carbon emission reduction, agricultural economy and labor force respectively produce 183.13% and 26.04% carbon amount increase.4. Propose policies and advice to promote Jilin agricultural carbon emission reduction: make low carbon agricultural development plan, strengthen supporting and guiding role of policy and finance, set up low carbon agricultural awareness, highlight agricultural production method transformation, concentrate on using agricultural resource efficiently, promote agricultural carbon emission reduction technology research and application. At the same time, aiming at natural resource characteristics and agricultural carbon emission status in different regions in Jilin, it proposes corresponding emission reduction suggestion.
