With the Dairy farming scale expanding, more and more attention are paid on the calf scientific feeding,and higher requirements are demanded on the feeding equipment and its control system function.The milk temperature and quantity of accurate control is related to the healthy growth of the calf.Good feeding control system has great significance on improving the survival rate and economic benefits of animal husbandry and so on.This paper discusses calves control technology at home and abroad,and then explains the composition structure and working principle of the calf precise feeding control system.And the lab test for equipment,it can satisfy the requirement of the constant temperature and quantitative feeding for the milk.The problem of the imprecision of the feeding control and low degree of automation have been solved.The system consists of hardware design and software design of two parts: hardware system is the foundation of the whole control system,the upper machine controlled by a master-slave mode.It is mainly consist of upper desktop module, desktop module, recognition module, actuators, and power supply module five major components.PC as a systems management platform is responsible for data processing,display and storage, final communication with desktop machine through the Modbus protocol based on RS485 bus.Identification module communicates with the PIC by the communication circuit. Actuator is divided into two parts,one part consists of servo motor and servo motor drive,single chip microcomputer by controlling pulse count to drive motor to drive accurately and complete feeding function.The other part consists of contactor and heating pipes to control the temperature of milk.In this phase, the power module supply power for the various parts of the system.Software design is divided into touch screen software of upper machine and PIC programming of lower machine.Touch screen software is developed in EB8000 which is WEINVIEW company’s integrated development environment.The graphical interface and macro instruction is designed with it.The program of lower machine is developed in the MPLAB XIDE environment by C language,which applies the idea of modular design.It consists communication program between upper machine and lower machine,RFID recognition,and the program of servo motor drives.After completion of the control system design,commissioning and performance test in the la boratory shows that:in the consistent temperature control stage,temperaturerange within 0.2 ℃;in t he aspect of recognition,centering on the recognizer,the identification area is elliptical,the maximu m effective distance is 30.5cm and the repetition rate is 0;feeding accuracy is more than 99%.
