Objective To evaluate the significance of color Doppler renal blood flow examination and bone morphogenetic protein-7(BMP-7) in the early diagnosis of type II diabetic nephropathy. Methods Blood BMP-7level was tested in90cases of diabetic nephropathy patients and30normal control group, and parameters of renal blood flow were measured by color Doppler ultrasound examination. Besides these, the relationship between blood BMP-7levels and resistant index (RI) of segmental renal artery(SRA) and interlobar renal artery(IRA) was also analysed. Results1-BMP-7gradually decreased with the damage of renal function, and there were significant differences between different groups (P<0.01).2、The peak systolic velocity blood flow velocity (Vmax) and the lowest end-diastolic blood flow velocity (Vmin) of SRA and IRA were slowed gradually, while RI increased. The difference between the groups was statistically significant (P<0.01).3、Blood BMP-7level was negatively correlated with IRA’s and SRA’s RI of IRA and SRA (r=-0.603, P<0.01; r=-0.652, P <0.01).Conclusions The blood of BMP-7level decreased gradually with with the damage of renal function. By color Doppler ultrasound measurement of renal hemodynamic parameters and detection of BMP-7might play an important role in early diagnosis of type2diabetic nephropathy.
