Clinical Observation Of Advanced Gastric Cancer Treated With Shenqi Fuzheng Injection Combined With Chemotherapy

Carcinoma of stomach is one of the most common malignacy tumor in gastrointestinal. Its morbidity is among the first four of all malignant tumors, the mortality rate among the first two all malignancies worldwide.China is a high incidence area in gastric cancer,the incidence and mortality remain high. Early detection,early diagnosis,early treatment is the key to cure patients with gastric cancer,but it is not easy to do this.Gastric cancer often insidious onset and lack of specific symptoms,effective screening and diagnostic measures in early stage. So early diagnosis rate is very low,more than50%of cases diagnosed with locally advanced or distant metastases which were inoperable.Even if patients can be surgically removed,after2years,about50%to60%of patients will relapse or metastasis,and for inoperable patients with advanced non-radical surgery and no further recurrence after radical resection,chemotherapy should be as the main comprehensive treatment,the main purpose is to relieve symptoms and improve quality of life and so that they can prolong survival. However, the adverse effects of chemotherapy such as nausea,vomit,diarrhea,cardiac toxicity,myelosuppression seriously affect the quality of life and treatment outcomes,so taking effective measures to mitigate the adverse effects of chemotherapy is very important. Many studies have confirmed the existing Traditional Chinese Medicine combined with chemotherapy compared with chemotherapy alone,the former can improve immune function,the quality of life and the chemotherapy tolerance in cancer patients.The aim of this study was to use TCM (Shenqi fuzheng) combined with FOLFOX4compared with FOLFOX4alone in patients with advanced carcinoma of stomach,the recent observation of the patient’s clinical efficacy, adverse reactions, quality of life,to explore Shenqifuzheng injection combined with FOLFOX4treatment in advanced gastric cancer and its security,to provide practical suggestions and methods for the combination therapy for carcinoma of stomach.Objective Preliminary evaluate the efficacy and safety of TCM (Shenqi fuzheng) combined with FOLFOX4to treat advanced carcinoma of stomach.Methods30patients with advanced gastric cancer in stage III-IV in Jiangsu Subei People’s Hospital from October2012to October2013were randomly divided into observation group and control group. Control group(15cases):FOLFOX4chemotherapy; Observation group(15cases): Use above the case chemotherapy adds to use Shenqi Fuzheng injection the liquid a vein note at the time, chemotherapy the first3day beginning everyday once,connect to use10days,14days are one period.We observe to contrast two groups’clinical advertise for the symptom,KPS grade point variety and the vice-reacion after4periods.Results (1) The rate of quality of life improvement observation group and control group were respectively66.67%and46.67%(P<0.05), the difference was statistically significant.(2) Adverse reactions observed groups (such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and myelosuppression) incidence was significantly lower than the control group,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).(3) Recent disease control rate in the observation group and the control group were respectively60%and53.33%(P>0.05),disease progression rate was13.33%, slightly higher than the observation group,but the difference was not statistically significant.Conclusion Shenqifuzheng injection combined with FOLFOX4chemotherapy can improve the quality of life in patients with advanced carcinoma of stomach,reduce the side effects of chemotherapy and it can improve some effects.
