Invasion And Metastasis Of Molecular Mechanisms And Their Significance Of MMP-2, MMP-9, VEGF,TGF-β1in Gastric Carcinoma

OBJECTIVETo investigate the association between the expression of TGF-β1, MMP-2, MMP-9and VEGF, in the invasion and metastasis in gastric cancer and normal gastric tissues and their clinicopathologic significance.METHODSThe expressions of TGF-β1, MMP-2, MMP-9and VEGF were detected by immunohistochemistry in40of gastric cancer and10of normal gastric tissues.RESULTS①The expressions of TGF-β1, MMP-2,MMP-9and VEGF in gastric cancer were prominently higher than its in normal gastric tissues, which observable had statistical signification(P<0.01).②In the clinicopathologic significance including tumor size, clinical stage, lymph node metastasis, sex, age, tumor differentiation, Borrmann typing, gastric cancer stage, blood vessel invasion, distant organs metastasis and depth of invasion.The expressions of TGF-β1was highly correlated with blood vessel invasion and distant organs metastasis which had statistical signification (P<0.05), observable highly correlated with lymph node metastasis, clinical stage and depth of invasion, which observable had statistical signification (P<0.01).③The expressions of MMP-9was highly correlated with lymph node metastasis, clinical stage and depth of invasion,which had statistical signification(P<0.05)④The expressions of MMP-2was highly correlated with blood vessel invasion, distant organs metastasis, clinical stage, lymph node metastasis and depth of invasion, which had statistical signification (P<0.05).⑤The expressions of VEGF was highly correlated with clinical stage and depth of invasion, which had statistical signification(P<0.05).⑥There was positive correlation between TGF-β1and VEGF(P<0.05). There was positive correlation between MMP-2and TGF-β1(P<0.05). And there was a positive correlation between MMP-2and MMP-9(P<0.05).CONCLUSIONS1. The expressions of TGF-β1、MMP-9、MMP-2、VEGF in gastric cancer were prominently higher than its in normal gastric tissues.2. MMP-2, MMP-9, VEGF and TGFβ-1in gastric cancer invasion and metastasis, the occurrence and development from the mutual promotion and coordinated action.
