Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of acupuncturing Sanyinjiao for thetreatment of primary dysmenorrheal.Methods:120patients of primary dysmenorrheal subjects were randomly divided intofour groups,30cases in each group. The acupuncture Sanyinjiao group needles the bilateralsides of Sanyinjiao. The Sanyinjiao sham acupuncture group uses sham needling instrumentsdeveloping by ourselves to operate. The acupuncture random point group needles randompoint at the limbs to needle. And the Shiqizhui acupuncture group needles the acupoint ofShiqizhui. The patients in four groups start acupuncture intervention for30min once a dayfor three days of continuous treatment at the onset of menstrual flow with pain. One courseof treatment lasts for a menstrual cycle, and the experiments continue three courses. Usingthe VAS and the CMSS as indexes, to observe the changes of VAS scores before and afterthe needling0.5h,1h,3h,6h,12h in the first day of the menstrual cycle, as well as tocompare the CMSS before and afer three-course treatment.Results:1. The VAS scores of Sanyinjiao acupuncture group were significantly decreased beforeand after3menstrual cycles with statistical significance (P<0.05), while sham acupunctureSanyinjiao6h after acupuncture was significantly decreased comparing with that beforeacupuncture; there were significant differences between the two groups, and Sanyinjiaoacupuncture group was decreased more significantly than the sham acupuncture group(P<0.05). Acupuncture Sanyinjiao CMSS points decreased significantly after the treatmentthan before (P<0.05), and Sanyinjiao than sham acupuncture group were significantlydifferent, the treatment effect was superior to sham acupuncture group Sanyinjiao.2. The VAS scores of Sanyinjiao acupuncture group were significantly decreased beforeand after3menstrual cycles with statistical significance (P<0.05), In the first menstrualcycle, the random point acupuncture group3h after the acupuncture was significantly decreased comparing with that before acupuncture (P<0.05), and in the second and the thirdmenstrual cycles needling6h statistically significant decreased comparing with that before(P<0.05). After the first menstrual cycle, acupuncture was no difference between the twogroups at12h point, but the rest of the time points between groups were statisticallysignificant in every menstrual cycle (P<0.05). Acupuncture Sanyinjiao CMSS pointsdecreased significantly after the treatment than before (P<0.05), while Sanyinjiao than therandom limbs were significantly different, the treatment effect was superior to the limbsrandom point group (P<0.05).3. In the3menstrual cycles, the VAS scores of the Sanyinjiao acupuncture group andthe Shiqizhui acupuncture group both decreased significantly than before, with statisticalsignificance (P<0.05), the two groups could effectively relieve pain. CMSS points after thetreatment were significantly decreased than before (P<0.05), there were significantdifferences between the two groups (P<0.05). Along with the acupuncture group Sanyinjiaoimproving dysmenorrheal duration and extent of symptoms was significantly better than theShiqizhui.Conclusion:1. Psychological comfort analgesic effect of acupuncture can not afford a decisive rolein the acupuncture.2. The analgesic effects of acupuncturing at random point is not instable, and there isnot long-term follow-up result.3. Sanyinjiao and Shiqizhui both have definite analgesic effect, but Sanyinjiao sustainsthe improvement in dysmenorrheal associating with the onset of symptoms relating to thetotal time and average severity than Shiqizhui.4. The acupuncture treatment of primary dysmenorrheal at Sanyinjiao has significantanalgesic effect.
