Objective:TRPM7is a membrane protein which having a dual function channel and protein kinase and broadly participate in cell growth and reproduction, sport and apoptosis. Hepatocellular carcinoma is a common malignancy, a number of genes involved in the development process of its occurrence. The experiment by detecting TRPM7expressing in hepatocellular carcinoma tissues try to clarify the relationship between TRPM7and hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods:Specimens and related data of this study were obtained from the patients with hepatocellular carcinoma who underwent hepatectomy from2009to2013at Hepatobiliary Surgery department of Second Xiangya Hospital, Central South University, using immunohistochemistry and Western blot to detect TRPM7protein in the HCC. Furthermore the correlations between expression of TRPM7and clinical features (such as tumor size, number, degree of differentiation, portal vein invasion, etc.) are all analyzed. Results:immunohistochemistry showed TRPM7high expression in24cases (44.4%), low or no expression in30cases (55.6%), high expression of the corresponding adjacent tissues37cases (68.5%), low or no expression in17cases (31.5%). clinicopathological evaluation indicated a significant correlation between expression of TRPM7and tumor cell differentiation. Conclusion:The expression of TRPM7in hepatocellular carcinoma and adjacent tissues is significant difference. there is a significant correlation between the expression of TRPM7and the differentiation of primary hepatocellular carcinoma.
