Clinical Research Of Bronchial Artery Embolization In Moderate-massive Hemoptysis

Objective To evaluate the clinical effects of bronchial arteryembolization（BAE） in moderate-management hemoptysis and summarythe methods of avoiding serious complications.Materials and methods Routine preoperative examination，indwelledarterial sheath successfully by the method of Seldinger. it confirmed therelationship between the target vessel and the surrounding blood vesselsaccording to CTA and angiography, If found in the target vessel and thesurrounding blood vessels were anastomose,do super-selective BAE,otherwise do selective BAE. The target vessels were embolized by usingone or several kinds of PVA，particles coils, ONYX. angiography afterembolization to confirm that the bronchial artery has been embolizedcompletely. All the cases were followed up for at least3months, the personwho had no obvious improvement after the first BAE were underwentantother BAE.Result All the44cases have abnormal in the bronchialangiography.31cases’ target vessels had deformities.all of them had no contrast agent extravasation.44casets performed48BAEs,with selectivebronchial artery embolization32cases,super-selective bronchial arteryembolization16cases.After BAE,3cases were still hemoptysis,gaveanother BAE and hemopytisis stopped,with the significant efficiency rate90.9%.hemoptysis recured in4cases with the recurrent rate of9.1%.,gavemedical help and hemoptysis stopped.After BAEs,6cases suffered thoracicor abdominal pain,on serious complocatioms happened.Conclusion BAE is a rapid,safe,effective method for massivehemoytisis if operated strictlly according to the rules and choiced the bestway and materials.
