Clinical Observation Of Treatment With Shen Ying Yang Zhen Dan Compound640-nm Red Light For The Blood Deficiency And Wind Dryness Type Of Alopecia Areata

Objective:To observe the efficacy of the treatment with Shen ying yang zhen Dan compound640nm red light for the blood deficiency and wind drynesstype of alopecia areata.Methods:40patients with alopecia areata from the out-patients of the hospital of TCM in Jiangsu Province were involved in the study and randomly divided into2groups treatment group and control group. The control group were treated with Shen ying yang zhen Dan.The treatment group were treated Shen ying yang zhen Dan compound640nm red light. To Shen ying yang zhen Dan,the two groups took the same way:the pills were taken5g/time with warm water,twice a day,respectively at half an hour after breakfast and supper, twice a week for12weeks.All the patches of both groups were photographed to analyze the hair density and diameter with digital image system before and after the treatment.Meanwhile, the local adverse effects were recorded.Results:1.20patients with alopecia areata involved in the treatment group,male accounted9cases, the average age was37.25i12.72and the mean disease course was10.00土15months.In the control group,male and female accounted1/2respectively(total number was20),the average age was34.65土8.24and the mean disease course was10.63土12.25months.2.Among the20cases in treatment,10patients were clinically cured,4markedly improved,3effectively, and filed in3.The overall effective rate was85.0%.The results of the control group was6,3,2,9respectively.The overall effective rate was55.0%.The difference between two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05).3.27lesions in treatment,15lesions were clinically cured,5markedly improved,2effectively,and field in5.the overall effective rate was81.48%.30lesions in control group,8lesions were clinically cured,6markedly improved,2effectively,and field in14.the overall effective rate was53.33%The difference between two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05).4. The obvious adverse reactions were not found in the process of the two groups.Conclusion: The clinical curative efficacy of the treatment with Shen ying yang zhen Dan compound640nm red light is higher than took Shen ying yang zhen Dan exclusively for the blood deficiency and wind drynesstype of alopecia areata.
