Objective To compare the effects of combined therapy of high-energy narrow-spectrum red light on alopecia areata,and to explore dermoscopic features and adverse reactions before and after treatment.Method 100 patients with alopecia areata were randomly divided into A group and B group,each group of 50 person.Group A were treated with compound glycyrrhizin capsule and minoxidil spray,and the B group were given high-energy narrow spectral red light therapy on its basis.Statistical software was used to analyze the relationship between the effectiveness before and after 8 weeks' treatment,the change of SALT score,the relationship between exclamation mark/black point/break hair and the adverse reactions.Results(1)The B group efficient(84%)was significantly higher than the A group(62%).Terminal hair density observed by demoscopy(the A group and B group in treatment of 4 weeks,8 weeks,was 60.65±26.45,120.34 ±34.74,89.78 ± 24.47,24.47±48.58 respectively),and the SALT score statistically had significant difference in comparison before and after the treatment,and the B group therapy effect was better than the A group(P<0.05).(2)There was statistically significant in the comparison of exclamation mark/black spot/broken hair and pull hair of 2 groups at 4 weeks of treatment(P<0.05),and the B group could shorten the course of disease and improve the therapeutic effect.(3)The incidence of adverse reactions in the B group was significantly lower than that in the A group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion(1)Combined therapy of high-energy narrow-spectrum red light can effectively reduce the SALT of alopecia areata and increase the number of final hairs.(2)Combined therapy of high-energy narrow-spectrum red light can effectively reduce the number of exclamation mark-shaped hair,reduce the duration of the alopecia and improve the hair cycle;(3)Combined therapy of high-energy narrow-spectrum red light can reduce adverse effects and can be widely used in clinic.(4)The development of AA and its therapeutic effect can be better understood through dermoscopy.
