ObjectiveBy testing pile protein (Paxillin) and ankle protein (Talin)expression in thyroid benign and malignant diseases, analysis of thetwo patients with thyroid cancer clinical correlation betweenpathological parameters, discusses its role in the development ofthyroid carcinoma.MethodsPV immunohistochemical technique and Western Blottingtechnology were used to test the different expression of paxillin andtalin in tissues of thyroid cancer, thyroid adenoma, hashimoto’sthyroiditis, nodular goiter and normal thyroid tissues. The relation ofpaxillin and talin expression in thyroid cancer with pathological type, the state of lymphatic metastasis, infiltration degree, age and sex wasanalyzed.ResultsPaxillin protein expressied in the cell membrane and(or) cellcytoplasm. In thyroid carcinoma Its expression was significantly higherthan that of thyroid benign lesions and thyroid tissue adjacent tocarcinoma, the difference was special In the statistical (P<0.05), andis closely related with clinical stages, infiltration degree and the stateof lymphatic metastasis, however positive expression did not relatedto pathological type, age and sex(P>0.05). Talin protein expressied inthe cell membrane and(or) cell cytoplasm. In thyroid carcinoma Itsexpression was significantly higher than that of thyroid benign lesions and thyroid tissue adjacent to carcinoma, the difference was special Inthe statistical(P<0.05),and is closely related with clinicalstages, infiltration degree and the state of lymphatic metastasis, however positive expression did not related to pathological type, ageand sex(P>0.05). The Spearman correlation analysis, the expressionof Paxillin and Talin positively correlated (rs=0.753, P<0.05).ConclusionsPaxillin and talin may contribute to the function in occurrence anddevelopment of thyroid cancer. The expression of paxillin and talin inthyroid cancer might be used as a marker to evaluate prognosis andprovide the important basis for seeking new curing targets of thyroidcancer therapy in clinic. The expression of paxilin and talin in thyroidcarcinoma were positively correlated, and both may be complicit in theinvasion and metastasis of thyroid cancer biology behavior, etc.
