Objective:1、To evaluate the effect of laparoscopic varicocelectomy and its influence on semen parameters.2、To observe the relationship between the change of semen parameters and the follow-up time after laparascopic varicocelectomy. Methods:Total62patients who underwent laparoscopic surgery treatment, mean age24.91from18to42years old from urology department11and12in our hospital between January2012and August2013.9patients with bilateral varicocele, simply left varicocele53cases;Grade1:14cases,Grade11:26cases;Grade111:22cases.20cases were found by medical examination.31cases were found by scrotum discomfort and11cases by infertility. Case selection criteria:1、all cases are from urology department of our hospital between January2012and August2013;2、age:18years old or more;3、remove1case who has testicular tumor;4、Surgical options:all patients were exerted laparoscopic varicocelectomy(including LESS);remove1case who underwent open surgury and remove1case who underwent microcopic varicocelectomy.Postoperative follow-up time:1month after the operation, the third month, the sixth month.Part One:Compare the effect after operation such as complication. evaluate the semen parameters influence by laparascopic varicocelectomy through the comparation between preoperative and postoperative1,3,6months.Part Two:observe the relationship between the postoperative semen parameter and follow-up time through the respectively comparation of preoperative and postoperative1month, of postoperative1month and3months after operation,of postoperative3month and postoperative6month.Results:Part One:In all62cases patients, scrotum emphysema and scrotum edema occurred in6(9.67%)and2(3.22%) patients respectively.1case (1.61%) with testicular atrophy.26cases(83.87%) of31cases who have symptomes of scrotum discomfort after long standing pre-operation were asymptomatic.3cases(9.68%)symptome secerased,2cases (6.45%)were not improved at all.Through the comparation between preoperative and postoperative1,3,6months,we can see that there is a remarkable improvment(P<0.05) of sperm density、sperm motilities (a+b)、sperm motilities (a)、total sperms、normal spermmorphology rate. There is no difference(P>0.05) about semen volume preoperative and postoperative.Part Two:There is no difference (P>0.05) about semen volume at different follow-up time. There is no statistical difference (P>0.05)of all semen parameters (sperm density、sperm motilities (a+b)、sperm motilities (a)、total sperms、normal spermmorphology rate) between postoperative3months and postoperative6months.Conclusions:1、Laparoscopic varicocelectomy is safe and effective.2、Laparoscopic varicocelectomy has a positive effect on sperm parameters, it can significantly improve postoperative semen parameters. 3、Semen parameters improve to a relatively stable level by3months following laparoscopic varicocelectomy.
