Objective:To investigate the correlation between serum 25(OH)D level and semen parameters and sex hormones in male infertile patients.Methods:145 cases of infertility patients as the research object from November 2015 to February 2017 in the Assisted Reproductive Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Shanxi Medical University. The serum levels of 25(OH)D were determined by Elector chemical luminescence in patients.Divided into three groups according to the level of 25(OH)D,36 cases were in deficiency group(25(OH)D < 25mmol/L),66 cases were in insufficiency group(25mmol/L ?25(OH)D < 50mmol/L),43 cases were in normal group(50mmol/L ? 25(OH)D).The semen parameters were determined by sperm quality analyzer, and the levels of serum hormones were measured by Elector chemical luminescence.one-way ANOVA was used to compare the difference between the clinical features. The correlation between serum 25(OH)D levels and clinical features was analyzed by Pearson correlation method.Linear regression analysis was used to analyze the dependence relationship between serum 25(OH)D levels and clinical features which was associated with serum 25(OH)D levels.Results:1.General data were grouped according to serum 25(OH)D levels, and in serum different 25(OH)D levels, there were significant differences in BMI(F= 3.725 P=0.026).2.Male sex hormone were grouped according to serum 25(OH)D levels, and in serum different 25(OH)D levels, there were significant differences in testosterone(T)levels(F= 5.187 P=0.007).3.Sperm parameters were grouped according to serum 25(OH)D levels, and in serum different 25(OH)D levels, there were significant differences in sperm concentration, sperm motility(F= 15.974 P<0.001,F= 7.367 P=0.001).4.To further analyze the relationship between serum 25(OH)D levels and BMI,testosterone(T),sperm motility and sperm concentration in male infertile patients. The results showed that there was a positive correlation between serum 25(OH)D level and sperm concentration and sperm motility(r=0.407 P<0.01,r=0.296 P<0.01),and there was no correlation between other variables.5.In the clinical work and study, sperm motility and sperm concentration were independent parameters. The dependence of serum 25(OH)D level and sperm concentration was analyzed by simple linear regression with sperm concentration as dependent variable. The results showed that the serum 25(OH)D levels were statistically significant(b=0.751 b95%CI:0.472~1.029).It was shown that when serum25(OH)D levels were increased by 1mmol/L,the sperm concentration increased by0.751 x 106/m L.6.The dependence of serum 25(OH)D level and sperm motility was analyzed b y simple linear regression with sperm concentration as dependent variable. The r esults showed that the serum 25(OH)D levels were statistically significant(b=0.751 b95%CI:0.472~1.029).This shows that when the serum 25(OH)D level i ncreased by 1mmol/L,sperm motility increased by 0.333%.Conclusion:The serum 25(OH)D levels were positively correlated with sperm motility, sperm concentration in male infertile patients, that is to say,25(OH)D can affect semen quality in male infertile patients.serum 25(OH)D levels and sex hormone levels had no significant correlation in infertility patients,so the serum level of 25(OH)D effects on semen quality is not mediated by sex hormones.
