| Objective:To explore diagnostic value of B-type Brain NatriureticPeptide (BNP) in patients with DHF.Methods:We collected201heart failure patients (100with systolicheart failure and101with DHF) and100patients with normal heartfunction as control group. BNP level among this three groups, amongdifferent cause of DHF group, also between before and after DHF treatmentwere compared to reveal its value in the diagnosis and treatment of DHF.Results:Compared with the control group, BNP levels in SHF andDHF group were significantly increased (859.1pg/ml VS803.4pg/ml VS47.4pg/ml), and it increased positively with NYHA classification. Inpatients with DHF, BNP of hypertensive heart disease patients are higherthan that of coronary heart disease patients, the difference was statisticallysignificant. After two weeks’ treatment, BNP levels were significantlydecreased in DHF patients. Blood pressure was positively correlated withBNP in DHF caused by hypertensive heart disease group (r=0.81, P<0.01).Conclusions:Plasma level of BNP can serve as a useful tool in diagnosis and treatment assessment of DHF. |
