Objective:To observe the clinical effect of the Xinkaikujiang method treating cold and hot mixed type of postprandial distress syndrome.Methods:This study cases was selected from January2013-January2014in the gastroenterology clinic of Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of TCM. Based on the principle of paired tests,60postprandial distress syndrome patients were randomly divided into two groups, the treatment group which has30cases was treated with BanxiaxiexinTang; the control group which has30patients was treated with mosapride. Hp-positive patients, before enrollment, should be treated with triple therapy program for10days. Clinical reference the "Functional Dyspepsia Integrative Medicine Consensus" enacted by China Association of Integrative Medicine Professional Committee of digestive diseases in2010. Clinical observation symptoms contain the main symptoms:postprandial discomfort, early satiety, poor appetite, and the secondary symptoms:noisy, dry and bitter taste in the mouth, abdominal fullness, upset and anxious, belching, loose stool. Then quantifying these symptoms score, cumulating the score of every symptom, establishing a database for statistical, analysis with SPSS software.4weeks later, Hp eradication rates and clinical efficacy were be observed.Results:The effective rate of Xinkaikujiang treatment for cold and hot mixed type of postprandial distress syndrome was96.7%, with a significant difference (P<0.01) compared with the control group. The effect of the main symptoms:postprandial fullness, early satiety, poor appetite, showed no significant difference(P>0.05) in the treatment group and the control group. About belching, treatment group and the control group have a certain effect (P<0.05), but the efficacy of treatment group is better than the control group; treatment group also showed a certain effect in these symptoms:abdominal fullness, noisy, dry and bitter taste in the mouth, upset and anxious, loose stool (P<0.05), but those symptoms in the control group were completely unable to be improved (P>0.05).Conclusion:Xinkaikujiang method showed good clinical efficacy on the therapy of cold and mixed type of postprandial distress syndrome.
