This thesis studied the chemical composition and antibacterial activity of Ligulariafischeri which was collected from northeast of China,30compounds had obtained by usdingdifferent purification methods and the structure of these compounds had identified by themethod of modern spectroscopic analysis, also the antibacterial activity of the compoundswas studied.Ligularia fischeri is the gene of Compositae of Ligulaia, which exist in the damp forest,forest meadows and mountain ditch that above the sea leave of100-2700meters. In ourcournty, the plant is a resource-rich and widely distributed, mainly scattered in the northeastand north part of country. It has a long history since the roots and rhizomes of Ligulariafischeri had been used as folk medicine and also it has been compiled in the local herbsstandards in Jilin province. The palnt has the function of warm lung, antitussive andexpectorant, promote the blood circulation and other effects, meanwhile it is often used as thetreatment for cough, throat inflammation, bruises and other illnesses. To further study anddevelop the chemical composition and antibacterial activity, this thesis comprehensively andsystemly studied the chemical compounds and the antibacterial activity of roots and rhizomesof Ligularia fischeri which was collected in the Tonghua city, Jiling province. Obtained themethanol-ether-petroleum ether extraction of the plant and isolated30compound form theextraction by using the methods of column chromatography, TLC etc, what’s more thestructure of these compounds was identified by the method of comparison with the standardsamplemodern and modern analytical test methods, such as1H-NMR,13C-NMR (DEPT),2D-NMR, finally these30compounds were consisted by sesquiterpenes, steroids,triterpenoids, furan derivatives, glycerol acids and fatty compounds.At the mean time, in order to further study the antibacterial activity of the compoundsfrom Ligularia fischeri, the thesis did the antimicrobial activity tests of the compounds.Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis and Escherichia coli were selected as testedbacterium, positive and negative reagents were chloramphenicol and DMSO. Experimentalresults showed that compound LF-15has inhibitory and compound LF-2has weak inhibition,these compounds may be the potential drug for bacterial resistance, with a large research anddevelopment value.This thesis can be reference of chemical composion extraction and antibacterial activitystudy of traditional Chinese drugs, also can be the reference for the development ofanti-bacterial anti-inflammatory drugs.
