ObjectiveThis study was to analyze students’ emergency awareness and response toincidents hedging ability level status, explore emergency refuge influencingfactors, thereby enhancing student safety awareness and emergency responseto emergencies and also in order to launched the “school community” to youthsafety and health education provided a theoretical reference.MethodsSurvey the safety knowledge level to689parents and their students fromgrade3to6, using self-designed questionnaire in Ying Kou by using clustersampling method, stratified sampling method and random sampling method. The data were analyzed by descriptive analysis,2-test, t-test, one-way ANOVA,Pearson correlation analysis and multiple stepwise regression of SPSS17.0statistical software package.Results1.The awareness rates of students in earthquake, traffic accident, fire, electric shock, trample, drowning, food poisoning, accident harm were65.45%、71.55%、64.88%、66.47%、64.44%、64.15%、73.15%、65.46%respectively.Comprehensive awareness of the eight types of emergencies was38.17%.Radio and television (68.07%), Internet (60.96%) and safety manual (39.77%)were the main ways for students to obtain safety knowledge.2.The seniors, parents degree is higher, parents occupation as doctor, teacher and scientist, the students with high family income, the emergencyawareness is higher, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). 3.The seniors, parents degree is higher, parents occupation as doctor, teacher and scientist, the students with high family income, the students’emergency hedge ability score is higher, and the differences were statisticallysignificant (P<0.05).4.Whether parents attaches great importance to the child safety problems:attaches great importance to606(90.04%),55(8.17%), general10(1.49%) andless importance was2(0.30%); How often to child safety knowledge: oftenexplain257(38.19%), occasionally interpretation of354(52.60%),62(9.21%)people almost do not speak; Whether know the child safety knowledge reservelevel: know the22(3.27%), know about351(52.15%),300(44.58%) did notunderstand it.5.The student ability score multiple stepwise regression analysis withmother, the influential factors of variables into the model were: students’ age, grade, mother’s occupation, mother emergency hedge ability score, motherwhether explain safety knowledge; The student ability score multiple stepwiseregression analysis with father, the influential factors of variables into the modelwere: students’ age, grade, family income, father emergency hedge ability score, father whether explain safety knowledge.Conclusions1. The awareness of eight types of emergencies accidents was low. AndWe should strengthen students’ popularization of knowledge on the safety andimprove their level of safety knowledge by using social media.2. Affect students’ cognitive level to emergencies factors: student grades, parent education, parental occupation, household income, we should take moreattention to which were lower grades, less educated parents, parents work forworkers, farmer, lost unemployed, families with lower annual income studentsmore detailed, more comprehensive safety and health education.3. Most of the parents (90.04%) said “very seriously” children safety;38.19%of parents said “always on” children safety knowledge and only3.27%of parents said “know” children safety knowledge reserve level. Therefore, parents should take more specific action to take care of children’ safety problem. 4. Students’ age, grade, mother’s occupation, mother emergency hedgeability score, mother whether explain safety knowledge was the motherinfluence factors of emergency hedge ability scores of students. Students’ age, grade, family income, father emergency hedge ability score, father whetherexplain safety knowledge was the father influence factors of emergency hedgeability scores of students. Therefore, we need to meet more needs of thesestudents of security knowledge, to improve its emergency safety ability level, reduce the probability of the hurt in the incident.
